Pure + Simple: Beautiful Skin, Naturally

July 11, 2016 By Lena

Take a moment to exhale.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, in between the meetings, the carpool responsibilities, the grocery runs and the daily commutes, there exists a common truth: we need to slow down. We need to take care of ourselves, inside and out. We need to prioritize our health and happiness.

We all have our preferred indulgences, of course. For some, it’s food; for others, a quiet spot and a good book. And for most moms I know (including yours truly), it’s a little bit of “me time”, with a chance for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.

Is it time to press pause? Pure + Simple, an all-natural skincare and wellness spa with locations in Toronto and Waterloo, is celebrating a month-long pop up event showcasing beauty brands that are natural, effective and proudly Canadian.
Wellness Centre Sign (2)FRESH CANADIAN BRANDS is an initiative designed by Pure + Simple to highlight locally-sourced talent and provide clients with fresh alternatives to their routine products. If you live in the Greater Toronto Area, visit one of their four locations to try innovative, better-for-you products and meet with the founders on select dates/times. Featured brands include da’lish, FitGlow, Healing Haus, Sattva Pure, Skin Essence, Thera Wise and more.

If you happen to be out and about this weekend, here’s the schedule of meet & greets!

Thursday, July 14, 2016: 12:00pm – World of Hair @Eglinton; 4:30pm – World of Hair @Yorkville; 4:30pm – Fitglow @King

Friday, July 15, 2016: 12:00pm – Nuvsio @King; 4:30pm – Dalish @Eglinton; 4:30pm – Nuvsio @ Yorkville; 4:30pm – Sattva @Waterloo; 4:30pm – Skin Essence @Waterloo

Saturday, July 16, 2016: 11:00am – Skin Essence @Eglinton; 12:00pm – Fitglow @Yorkville; 3:00pm – Nuvsio @ Waterloo; 3:00pm – Skin Essence @ King; 3:00pm – Fitglow @Eglinton

Be sure to check online throughout the month for more dates in July. The FRESH CANADIAN BRANDS event goes right through to July 31st, so there’s still a lot of time to pop in and discover your new favourite skin care brand.

Remember, choosing skin care that is natural does not mean compromising on the best in products and services. At Pure + Simple, every product you see in their stores does not contain any harmful or harsh ingredients such as parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, phthalates, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances or dyes. Plus, located exclusively at the Yorkville spa is the Pure + Simple Wellness Centre. Here, you’ll find naturopathic, RMT, nutrition and acupuncture services available so you can schedule a little “me time”. (Well deserved, I’m sure!)
IMG_1330 (2)If you don’t live in the Greater Toronto Area, you can still shop online to discover product lines that Pure + Simple has carefully screened and selected for their clients. They often have special deals on best selling products, so pop on over for a peek today!

This month, celebrate FRESH CANADIAN BRANDS with Pure + Simple! Tell me: when was the last time you treated yourself to a spa day?

It has been several years since I’ve had any spa treatments which is a bit sad! I really enjoyed it when I went. I like that this spa uses natural products and Canadian too. That’s important to me!

I am scent sensitive and going to a SPA leaves me with a horrible headache, if I can find one that is scent free I could enjoy myself

It’s so great when you can find a brand you like and it’s CANADIAN because it’s not always that easy. But I was surprised to find how many brands of facial products or other products are Canadian Made.
