Okay, okay – I’m not sure if I can declare SKECHERS as the “official” shoes of summer (are there legalities around that??) – but I am absolutely certain that ’round here, SKECHERS are the top choice.
So, maybe we’ll call them the Official Shoes of Lena’s Family. (Not the same ring to it, I know.)
Here’s the thing. Y’all are always asking me what I’m wearing, what I’m buying, what I love, and what I lust after. And I’m always eager to share! So of course I want to tell you about my family’s favourite kicks this year.
(For those who aren’t hip to street lingo like I obviously am, “kicks” mean sneakers. I know this because I Googled it. Three minutes ago.)
It’s rather simple; we’ve all found an amazingly comfortable, totally stylish and incredibly affordable pair of shoes, and they all happen to be SKECHERS. From Memory Foam to Power Switch to Game Kicks, they’ve got us covered.
First things first – yes, our shoes are dusty, scuffed and less-than-perfect. And that’s because when I say they’re our favourite shoes, and we wear them every day…. they actually are! This is NOT a vanity review; we’re not putting the shoes on just to show them off, and then throwing them to the back of the closet. Nope! They’re actually always on our feet!
But where do I begin? Well, let’s start with the boys, and their new SKECHERS Game Kicks shoes. Now, aside from the usual SKECHERS quality including a cushioned insole, shock absorbing midsole and flexible high traction nonmarking traction outsole, these shoes have a fully functional game feature! (Fear not mamas, there is a on/off sound button.)
Hand on heart, the boys LOVE these shoes . Four colorful buttons light up and make sounds in a classic ‘match the pattern’ game, and they try to outdo each other on road trips, before school, and any other time they have a moment to play. And *of course* they have to show off the little game every time someone compliments them on their shoes, which is often!
Next, my husband can’t stop raving about (and wearing!) his new SKECHERS Synergy – Power Switch shoes. The shoe’s upper is extremely lightweight and nearly seamless, and the knit open mesh panels at front, sides and heel promote breathability. But as great as they look on the outside, it’s what’s inside that counts: a Memory Foam cushioned comfort insole and shock absorbing FlexSole midsole design for comfort and flexibility.
Related: Aren’t they gorgeous? I’m a huge fan of the sneaker/ runner hybrid, and these fit the bill.
Finally, my tootsies have been treated to the most amazing TLC with SKECHERS Glider shoe. Four words: Gel Infused Memory Foam. It’s like walking on a pillow, no lie!
