AIR MILES All Aboard! The Most Rewarding Cruise in the Caribbean

For hundreds of AIR MILES Collectors, it’s a cruise they’ll never forget.
In November, AIR MILES celebrated their 25th anniversary by rewarding a ship full of Collectors and their guests with a FREE cruise aboard Princess Cruises’ Crown Princess. The five-night Caribbean cruise brought together Canadians from coast to coast, celebrating AIR MILES’ anniversary as well as their own special occasions: anniversaries, birthdays, honeymoons and even some new engagements onboard! 

Shock. Disbelief. Excitement. Gratitude. Just some of the emotions shared by the winners in discussions leading up to the big event. I was lucky enough to be on board the cruise to experience the one-of-a-kind sailing with my girlfriend Jaime. The excitement from the winners was palpable throughout the cruise – let’s just say Canadians know how to party!

AIR MILES did an excellent job curating special experiences for Collectors on the cruise, all with a Canadian touch to help break the ice and keep the good times rolling. Winners were treated to a Canada Day party featuring Canadian music and refreshments (including butter tarts and poutine!); Jersey Day, where cruisers had a chance to show off their favourite local sports team; a very special AIR MILES formal night (complete with blue corsages for the ladies), and interactive games like “Are You Smarter than an AIR MILES Executive?” – which probably brought about the biggest LOL moments of the cruise.
Through it all, Collectors had the unique opportunity to interact with key AIR MILES executives. Looking back on my own highlight reel, I can’t help but reminisce about all the amazing Canadians I had a chance to meet.

From my East Coast friends who always made room for me at the pool bar (I was ordering soft drinks, I promise!) to the lovely couple from Alberta who recognized me while shopping in Cozumel (of all the places to run into an Instagram follower, ha!) it truly was a pleasure to connect with Collectors in such a warm, happy setting.
Of course, the cruise would not have been a success without the incredible work and flawless execution behind the scenes. Everyone from brand ambassadors to AIR MILES executives made a formidable effort to connect with the winners and bend over backwards to ensure they’d have an unforgettable experience. Cheers, AIR MILES, to helping make a boatload of memories!
