I know you’ve been waiting for this.
Based on feedback from my previous post (and there’s A LOT of curiosity and excitement), you all want to know one thing:
“Does the Philips goLITE BLU energy light work? Do you feel more energized, Lena?”
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about my answer – maybe too much time – because I want to answer completely and honestly as I always do. At first, I thought I’d write a list of pros and cons… but truthfully, there weren’t many cons. Then I thought I’d share snippets of my mood diary, which is by far the most convincing argument to go out and try the goLITE BLU. But in the end, I decided a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’ll just let you decide for yourself. Your question: Do you feel more energized, well rested and happier?
My answer:
It’s true, friends – I’m feeling on top of my game, on top of the world. And here’s why I think the Philips goLITE BLU had an important role to play.
I started using the goLITE BLU in the middle of April, so it’s been about a month and a half. At first, I’ll admit – I couldn’t possibly see how the addition of blue light would make a difference. It was a long, wet month and the sun rarely shined. I was tired, moody and craving afternoon naps for the first time since I was pregnant with Ryder nine years ago.
From my previous post: “It’s been just over two weeks and I’m hoping to see tangible results any day now.” Keep that in mind: after the first two weeks, I had yet to see results. Therefore, if you invest in a goLITE BLU, you must realize that you may not see a difference overnight – or even after 14 nights. The real turning point for me was at the 3.5-week mark; the first thing I noticed was that I was no longer dragging my feet at 3:00pm. My usual burst of morning energy continued well into the day and I found myself to be productive for an extended period (without having to refuel with caffeine).
The second indication that the addition of blue light therapy was working? Mentally, I felt more alert. Friends and family will verify that of late, I’d been complaining about being in a “mental fog”. For a writer, the inability to concentrate is not only undesirable – it’s also really bad for business. Along with the increased energy I’ve been experiencing, I also believe I’ve achieved a heightened state of alertness. It’s a wonderful feeling!
But truly, the most telling indicator of success for me is the trend to a happier, more positive mood. When I first started using my goLITE BLU, my daily mood diary included the words “tired”, “blah”, “overwhelmed” and “indecisive”. Within six weeks, I’ve transitioned to “determined”, “thankful”, “optimistic” and best of all… “happy”.
Now here’s my caveat. While most of my testing took place over a rainy and unseasonably cold spring, we are moving to warmer temperatures and longer, sunnier days. Could natural weather patterns and the upcoming season have influenced my shift in mood? It’s possible, but that wouldn’t account for my increase in energy or focus. Therefore, I remain convinced that the goLITE BLU is an effective tool for boosting an overall feeling of wellness.
Ready to make a positive change? Use the Philips goLITE BLU energy light for at least 15 minutes naturally improves your mood and energy level whenever you need it. (Using it for longer is absolutely safe.) The pure, blue light increases your energy naturally, like on a sunny day, but without the UV rays associated with sunlight – win-win!
I’ll continue to use the goLITE BLU throughout the summer as I’m addicted to the results. Check it out! If not for yourself, it makes a wonderful gift for Father’s Day. For more information on Philips goLITE BLU, visit www.philips.ca.

It does sound like it is helping, might have to invest in one for the winter when I find my energy lacking and my mood not as good, worth giving it a try.

I’m glad it is working so well for you. The goLITE BLU definitely sounds like something I need in my life. It would actually make an awesome gift for someone in college as well.

I, too, need to use the good old blue light during those dark and cold months. I wasn’t sure at first that it worked but then I realized that I was able to do so much more than I was prior to using the blue light. If you have any doubts – just try it!
