Suzie Homemaker, I am not.
My mom, who is likely reading this post right now, will cringe as I outline in detail just what a domestic failure I am.
I’m sorry mom. And to my other readers, I promise, it’s not her fault I’m such a slob. She raised me well, nagged me incessantly about my clutter, and to this day, you can eat off her floors (and frequently, my boys do). However, somewhere along our family’s path to evolution, I may have missed that gene that allows me to recognize a messy home.
Oh, let’s be honest. It bypassed me completely.
So when people talk about weekly cleaning, my eyes begin to glaze over. Of course I clean my home weekly! From top to bottom, yes. But the truth is, my home gets cleaned when I ask my husband to do it. And he does, because he’s a lovely man who realizes that when I’m not cleaning, I’m working my butt off and being the best mom to my boys. (At least that’s what I hope he thinks.)
But I have a theory. If you can’t clean like a pro – then use pro equipment to make up for your
Introducing the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2. Simply put, it has the strongest suction of any other vacuum in Canada. This brand new addition to Dyson’s already stacked lineup features a self-adjusting cleaner head to seal in suction across carpets and hard floors. Ball technology allows easy manoeuvring around furniture and obstacles, and the quick release hose and wand stretches to clean high places and awkward gaps.
I’ve owned Dyson vacuum cleaners in the past. Here’s my endorsement: this one is the best to date.
Advanced Radial Root Cyclone technology channels airflow through the center of the cyclone assembly. This maximizes suction to capture more microscopic dust. Since we recently refinished our upstairs flooring by replacing the carpet with engineered hardwood, microscopic dust is a thing… and the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 eliminates it effortlessly. In fact, this is what our vacuum cleaner picked up after our floors were swept. Yikes! I’m sure you don’t want to see what the canister looked like after we vacuumed our rugs. *Shudder*
With four allergy sufferers in our household including one asthmatic, I know I need to stay on top of our housecleaning routine, and the sheer volume of dust, dirt and debris picked up by the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 is a reminder that I need to increase my efforts. Thankfully, the vacuum is engineered for tough cleaning across all floors, which makes cleaning carpets, wood floors, vinyl and tile a breeze.
And by the way – isn’t it a beaut?
Of course, since it’s a Dyson, it comes with all the bells and whistles you’ll need for a whole home clean. Included is a tangle-free turbine tool, a Dyson Groom tool, articulating hard floor tool, Stiff bristle brush, combination tool and stair tool. Most of the attachments are quite interchangeable and you’ll soon determine which one is best for the job at hand.
Me, for example? I use the stiff bristle brush to power through caked on dirt along our window panes. Or maybe my husband does that and I took the photos. Same thing, right?
Now, you may be thinking, Oh Lena, you’re clearly pro-Dyson. But I’ve never owned one before – how do you know I’ll love it? Fair question! And you’re in luck – thanks to Dyson Canada, we tested that theory.
I had the unique opportunity to gift a Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 to a friend or family member who had never before owned a Dyson vacuum. Instantly, I thought of my friend Ingie, who has two children, a very large dog, and a combination of flooring throughout her home. I could post a long, detailed review from Ingie, but I think a screenshot from a recent text conversation does most of the talking.
Still not convinced? Here’s what else Ingie had to say:
“I’m not sure why we never thought to own a Dyson – I guess we figured that by spending a few hundred dollars on another vacuum, it would get things clean enough. However, after using the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2, I realize that clean enough is not good enough. We are so impressed with the suction and the vacuum’s ability to perform just as well on carpet as it does tile. The handy attachments are great for upholstery and hard to reach places, too! Love this vacuum and now believe in the #DysonClean.”
Love what you see? Stay tuned for a very special giveaway! If you’re ready to experience #DysonClean for yourself, you won’t want to miss it.
This post is sponsored by Dyson Canada. In exchange for my honest review, I was gifted a Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 for myself and one for a friend. The opinions on this blog, as always, are my own.
