Festive Fashion with Style & Co!

November 9, 2015 By Lena

The days are getting shorter… the nights are getting colder… and that can only mean one thing: the holidays are around the corner! This year, I’m once again pleased to team up with Style & Co to help get your festive looks in order – everything from cozy and comfortable to holiday glitz. And before I go any further, here’s a sweet little deal just for you:

Spend $100, save $25 until November 19th with promo code STYLE! Shop Online Now.
DSC_1670aSo, what’s keeping you busy this season? How about work, school, parties, shopping, visits to Santa… oh my! Chances are, you’ll need a wardrobe that can play double-duty and still be fashion-forward (and affordable!). Enter Style & Co. Available exclusively at Hudson’s Bay, they offer on-trend pieces that are comfortable, wear well and can be dressed up or down for any occasion!

This year, I’m all about sweaters and tunics. They’re perfect layered over leggings and are equally appropriate for both the workplace and after-work drinks. I love the Mixed Pattern Sharkbite Tunic pictured above. Leopard and chevron collide! It has a pretty scoop neck and is just long enough to feel comfortable and carefree. I paired the tunic with Basic Leggings in a soft stretch cotton (a staple for any wardrobe). I love this look for every day office, holiday get togethers with the girls and even Christmas dinner!

(Don’t forget your accessories! Here, I added my favourite Double Heart Charm Necklace. It’s so versatile, I own it in gold, silver and rose gold. It also makes the perfect accompaniment if you’re gifting a special gal Style & Co clothing this season.)

And since we’re chatting about sweater dressing, I can’t forget to include the gorgeous Jacquard Fit-and-Flare Sweater.
DSC_1708aIt’s totally flirty and pairs well with almost anything! I’ve teamed it up with Bootcut Tummy Control Jeans in Noir Wash, and, for a pop of colour, grabbed my Original Tour Rain Boots by HUNTER and a trusty crossbody bag (similar). I normally wouldn’t pair denim with a tunic, but the cut of this sweater allows it to go well with all bottoms (just make sure your denim is “skinny” or has stretch). As you can see, I tucked my bootcut jeans into my boots, and now in addition to being stylish, I have warm legs, too! This would be a great look for visiting Santa at the mall, running errands on a slushy weekend morning or meeting your loved one at a cafe for warm mug of hot chocolate.

Now over the holidays, as much as I love going out, I also love to stay at home and curl up with a good book by the fireplace. (I may or may not roast chestnuts.) And for that, I need a cozy and comfortable sweater and yoga pants or leggings. I know, I know – completely stereotypical mom, right?
DSC_1689My pick? This Embellished Heart Sweater. It has much the same styling as the white sweater pictured above (round neck, ribbed at neck, cuffs and hem) and is a super cute way to dress up the basic sweater. Team it up with a pair of Tummy-Control Active Leggings, and you’re ready to lounge, and ready for school pick up, too.

Finally, what would the holidays be without a little holiday glitz? Wow the crowd with this very pretty Flutter-Sleeve Banded-Hem Top. The blouson top is suitable for all occasions (formal or casual) and the bold floral damask print and romantic ruffles make a statement.
DSC_1637bThis top would be perfect with a Ponte Pull-On Pencil Skirt for holiday parties, or for less formal events, I love these Pull-On Slim Fit Pants. Seriously, they may be my most favourite pants ever! They’re made with an elasticized waist and stretch fabric for optimal comfort (I’m thinking Christmas dinner, y’all), but have just enough structure to make them dressy. I’ve actually owned these pants since the spring, and was so pleased to see them brought back for Holiday 2015. I finished the look with my Two of Hearts Collar Necklace and statement gold ballet flats (similar).

Love what you see? Until November 19th, spend $100, save $25 with promo code STYLE! Shop Online Now. You also have a chance to WIN a $250 Style & Co wardrobe! Follow me on Twitter and RT this tweet to WIN! Happy shopping!
