New Year, New Rituals.

January 4, 2015 By Lena

Note: The following giveaway is open to Canadians only.

I can’t believe I pulled it off. I did it! I actually unplugged for almost two whole weeks. No blogging, no social (okay, a little social) and most of all, no obsessive email checking. I was officially off the grid for 10 days! Did you miss me?

At first, it felt a bit strange… especially if you consider that it’s been almost six years since I’ve had a real holiday. No seriously! The trips I take – they’re press trips, which means that I’m actually working non-stop. Even when my workplace is the Caribbean or a Disney park. But this… this was a bona fide staycation that I needed oh so much!

So what did I do? I shopped online. I shopped in-store. I re-organized my closet. I decluttered and purged. I slept in, read chick lit and mystery novels, and ate a lot of food. I joined Weight Watchers. I took time every single day to savour a few moments for myself. I made posh coffee house drinks in my Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker.
DSC_0319And most importantly, I made a promise to myself to continue these rituals in 2015. Because a few uninterrupted moments of bliss, every day, does a mind, body and spirit good. Love the way I think? Then we need to get a Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker in your home, too.

Now you can enjoy authentic, café-quality beverages in your own kitchen at any time of day. The Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker relies on a powerful 15-bar Italian pump and includes a no-fuss frother and easy-fill reservoir to make the process effortless. Use ground coffee or pre-measured pods – it’s up to you. And if you’re not quite confident in your skills just yet, online demonstration videos and the easy-to-use design will turn you into a home barista in no time.
DSC_0320The unit extracts rich flavour from espresso grounds or most easy-serving espresso pods, while the powerful no-fuss frother turns milk into fluffy froth in seconds. The easy-fill reservoir eliminates need to reheat water every time, and the removable drip tray ensures mess-free operation. And most importantly, a simple push-button operation means that when you’re ready for some “me-time”, the Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker is ready, too.
DSC_0331Ready for a new ritual in 2015? One lucky reader will win a Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker, valued at $99.99. To enter, simply fill the form below with your qualifying entries. Good luck, and Happy New Year!

I know there's dishes in the sink and laundry to be done but spending time with my little man makes these little things seem so small now! I'm still a little "OCD" when I make the time but Nico has made our house a home and he's more important than clean boxers :) Congrats on making time for yourself and getting back in touch with you!
