Come on in! Make yourself at home. Take a look around (but don’t look too closely, as I’m still ironing out the glitches). Welcome to my brand new website; a little more grown up, a little more sass.

This project was a long time in the making, because frankly, I was pretty attached to my old site. But when my trusted design guru, Juan Beltran, convinced me that he could create an even better site than the first one he conceptualized for me, I gave in. “Have at it,” I said. “Impress me.”

So, he set out to design a custom website that is inspired by the unique elements of my old Listen to Lena site, while introducing new touches that modernize the overall look. And I couldn’t be happier! It looks like me. It feels like me. It is me.

There’s a reason I have design gurus in my life. 

So stay a while! I hope you love the refresh as much as I do.

    I’m so on the fence with this design. I like that it’s simple and modern, but I sort of feel like you’ve taken a step backwards. I mean that in the nicest way possible (if there is a nice way to say that). Perhaps I too was a little attached to your old design! Anyways, Congratulations on the change! I always look forward to reading your blog and I’m sure I’ll come to love it in time.

      Trust me, I was a little attached to my old design too :) But my new site is light years ahead with the functionality I need (mobile ready, functional sidebar and drop down, etc) so I needed the change badly. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to this site too!

    Lena it looks so sleek. I must say loading and navigating is very fast! Not that I had an issue before to be honest, but this is beautiful. I have often ‘skipped’ over blogs due to chaotic backgrounds etc.. yes, even skipping contests to enter because those few seconds make my mind go nuts with all the graphic/busy busy designs, ads on every inch. I love this sleek sexy new look.. !!

      Thank you Darlene! I completely understand where you’re coming from, and am happy to say that lightning fast load time was one of my top priorities!

    I had to do a double take at first – LOVE the new design !
    Suggestion though ? For the “Leave a Reply” boxes – can the font colour please be made darker – I can barely see what I am typing.

    When I opened your website, I thought I was on the wrong page. I love the new design. It has a fresh feel to it. I agree with Flora M. about the comment box. It needs to be brighter.

        Thanks for the feedback Tricha! The comment box is fixed! And did you know the “Home” button is on its way to being obsolete? On 99.99% of websites, clicking the logo will take you home :) Hence, I’m sticking to my revolutionary ways, ha!

    Wow! I thought I was on the wrong website at first. I’m getting used to it. I love how the menu buttons roll when you hover over them.

    It’s definitely different. I think I’m use to the old design, still trying to wrap my head around this new design, but I think it’s growing on me.

      I get it. The funny thing is it took me forever to okay the refresh, because I was attached to my old design too. But now, I love my new look!
