For the first time in a long time, I’m spending my entire Christmas vacation at home. Gasp!
That’s right, friends – I’m trading palm trees for pajamas! Over the holidays, I have absolutely no plans but to wrap myself in fuzzy blankets, fill mug after mug of peppermint hot chocolate and catch up on all the movies and television series I’ve missed all year.
Translation: Do not disturb.
However, just because I’m lying low doesn’t mean that I haven’t planned for my holiday movie-a-thon and Netflix binge fest. I’ve got everything I need to ensure I have the best viewing experience, including the Dell XPS 13 – an evolution of the most celebrated product in Dell’s history!
Here’s why it will be my constant companion this season.
Mastering the Viewing Experience. With smaller borders and more pixels, the XPS 13 has the new Dell Cinema suit of entertainment-enhancing technologies and a next-generation Infinity Edge 4K Display. Combined, they create the ideal holiday movie watching or Netflix viewing experience.
The Ability to Stay Unplugged. With the longest battery life (up to 19 hours unplugged) of any 13-inch laptop, the Dell XPS 13 has been designed with smarter materials, is sustainably packaged and recycle-friendly and is one of Dell’s most environmentally responsible products.
Greater Performance. The Dell XPS 13 is the first laptop built with GORE™ Thermal Insulation, which provides thermal conductivity levels lower than air in a thin, flexible format. This insulation directs heat out of the device, lowering the temperature of the XPS and enabling greater performance.
Gram-Worthy. The new rose gold finish with authentic alpine white interior is simply stunning while remaining durable.
I love that the XPS 13 is light enough to take from bed to family room to anywhere I want to stretch out and be entertained – yet, is powerful enough to handle the demands of my entrepreneur lifestyle. Also, cue the kiddies! The IPS panel provides a wider viewing angle, so I can share my screen without missing a thing.
The boys are already fans of A Christmas Story – should I introduce them to Elf next?
Speaking of the boys, I don’t worry about lending my XPS 13. The laptop is cut from a single block of aluminum, so it’s more durable than a machine that’s pieced together. In fact, inspired by the aerospace industry, the carbon fiber and woven glass fiber of the palm rest allow for maximum strength and minimal weight. I can be quite protective of my tech toys, so I appreciate that the Dell XPS 13 is built to last.
Will you be spending your holidays at home? The Dell XPS 13 is the perfect companion over the Christmas season and beyond. For more information, visit www.dell.ca.

Wow amazing battery life! I absolutely love the smaller borders, and of course the beautiful rose gold finish.

A very appealing laptop, love the colour and that battery life is amazing. I’ve just got a new laptop (a first for me) so it’ll be interesting to see how the battery life is with mine.

I must admit that I do prefer my desktop computer, so much easier to use and to type with but when I travel a laptop is sure to come in handy – I do have a mouse since I can’t manage the finger-pad technique.
