Winter is here! Step Outside with Kamik

December 20, 2017 By Lena 40 Comments

And it’s not just any winter; it’s Canadian winter, the very best kind.

Sledding and sliding,
Snowshoeing and slush.
Skating and making snowmen,
I love it all so much!

Are you ready for the season? We recently had our very first snowfall, and to say my boys were excited is an understatement – they literally sat by the window and watched while it fell to the ground! When there was a sufficient amount of the white stuff covering the lawn, boom! They were outside in a flash.

Ah, to be a kid again!
This season, I’m thrilled to partner with Kamik. Family owned and operated in Canada, each pair of Kamik boots comes with over 100 years of history and expertise. They have a saying I love – “There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad footwear” – and I couldn’t agree more! Kamik boots are both fashionable and functional, offering stylish options that are temperature rated up to -40 degrees Celsius.

Why I love Kamik: Hello, how gorgeous are these ROGUE9 boots?
I posted these boots on Instagram and was literally bombarded with admiration for how stylish they are. I couldn’t agree more! But it goes further than that; the boots feature seam-sealed waterproof construction, 3MTM ThinsulateTM insulation and waterproof leather. Inside, the boots have soft boa lining and a removable moulded EVA insole with antibacterial treatment.

Look out winter, it’s time for me to step outside!

Why my husband loves Kamik: I have a fussy fashionisto. He’ll regularly sacrifice warmth for looks, which, being a consummate mama bear, drives me up the wall. However, even he has to admit that his new GRIFFON boots are GOAT.
He adores them! And with a waterproof Buffalo leather upper and seam-sealed construction, plus temperature rated to -32 degrees Celsius, he knows these boots are superior to any trendy kicks in his closet. That’s why Kamik rules: you can select a pair of boots that suits your lifestyle, even if your lifestyle involves being an #instamodel.

Why my kids love Kamik: I think it’s pretty obvious!
The boys are keen on their new TakodaLo boots because they love the grown-up looks and appeal. (Guess they’re following in their dad’s stylish footsteps?) The boots come with a removable Kamik comfort insole and have a waterproof nubuck leather upper with padded felt collar. And I have complete confidence they keep those precious tootsies warm and dry.

This winter, purchase boots you can feel good about wearing. In addition to being warm, fashionable and available in a variety of styles to suit your lifestyle, Kamik commits to greener manufacturing initiatives and works hard to reduce their carbon footprint. They even have a recycling program for their boots! All the information can be found on their website, www.kamik.com.

So step outside! It’s not too late to purchase quality winter boots for the entire family. Although I’ve partnered with Kamik this season, consider me a fan for LIFE.

This post is sponsored by Kamik. The opinions on this blog, as always, are my own.

They have some great looking boots. I am not a huge fan of the snow so I would be happy if we really didn’t get much but I am sure we will over the next few months so boots will be needed.

My daughter has a pair of Kamik boots. The ones we bought her last year all but fell apart after less than a months use. I contacted customer service about it and they were fabulous. They sent out a new pair the same day. Her new pair (a different style than the first pair) have been great. Her feet are warm.

I visited the Kamik site. They have a lot of great reviews for quality and customer service.
My daughter would love the girls Powdery boot in teal. I would be happy that she had waterproof, temperature rated winter boots to play in the snow.

Years ago, when I was in university and home for Christmas, my dad bought me a pair of Kamik winter boots at Canadian Tire. My dad rarely bought me things, and it was his idea, so it’s one of those moments I’ll never forget :) I was doing a lot of walking in Calgary and he wanted me to have something warm for my feet. They were great boots! I wore them for 8 years before I wore them out. I love the new boots – they look super cool.

Having warm, cosy boots is so important here in the Prairies, preferable temperature rated up to -40 degrees Celsius. I invested in a good pair of boots, this is their second winter but they just don’t keep my feet warm enough when it’s even as high as -25 C. I’ll keep Kamik in mind next time I buy new winter boots.
