The Secret to Smoother Skin is Here.

November 27, 2017 By Lena

Now, in a new and improved formula.

Earlier this year – in a post entitled Smooth Move: Is it Time to go Glycolic? –  I introduced you to NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal Antioxidant Smoothing Serum. The product is a powerful daily exfoliating serum, ideal used before applying your favourite cream or lotion to smooth out skin’s texture and improve skin’s quality. With continued use, pores, fine lines and irregularities become less visible.

A long-time reader, Kathy Downey, actually provided excellent feedback (thanks Kathy!):

March 7, 2017: “I do have sensitive skin and the other products I tried didn’t work so well, going to give this a try and see how it goes. Thanks for the review!”

May 15, 2017: “I just got the Neostrata Glycolic Renewal Antioxidant Smoothing Serum for Mother’s Day I can’t wait to try it!”

June 4, 2017: “The Neostrata Glycolic Renewal Antioxidant Smoothing Serum has been working so well on my terrible dry skin, so glad for your introduction!”

September 10, 2017: “After months of using I really like the results!”

Woo hoo! Thanks for continually circling back with your experience. On behalf of NeoStrata, thank you for giving it a try, and I’m so happy you are enjoying it!

Today, I’m here to share news of two brand NEW products: Neostrata Glycolic Renewal 5% Smoothing Lotion and NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal 5% Smoothing Cream.  Much like their predecessor, the Glycolic Renewal products contain Glycolic Acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which exfoliates dead cells on skin’s surface while maximizing skin renewal. However, the newer generation moisturizers contain a smaller concentration of the AHA (5%), making them suitable for sensitive skin.

Dermatologist recommended, non-comedogenic, non-irritating and tested on sensitive skin – what’s not to love?

The improved formula has a velvety-smooth, melting texture and a delicate scent. It helps reveal a more radiant complexion and visibly younger looking skin. Choose the Smoothing Lotion for Normal to Oily skin and the Smoothing Cream for Normal to Dry skin. (If you have combination skin, I recommend trying the NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal 5% Smoothing Cream as we’re moving into the colder months.)

The best part? The products are backed by clinically proven results. They demonstrated a significant improvement in skin tone evenness and a visible reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. After several weeks of testing out the Smoothing Cream, I’ve noticed a more even, radiant complexion, and the amount of build-up of dead cells on the surface of my skin has decreased dramatically. That’s key to me as I often forget to exfoliate my skin; AHA saves the day!

As with all products containing an alpha hydroxy acid, first time users should start with the 5% glycolic acid lotion or cream and begin with one application per day to build skin tolerance. Once the skin is conditioned, you may use a 10% glycolic acid, or if you’re like me, you’ll simply stick with the new 5% formula.

Neostrata Glycolic Renewal 5% Smoothing Lotion and NeoStrata Glycolic Renewal 5% Smoothing Cream are now available at all major drugstores across Canada, at a suggested retail price of $42.00 for 50ml.

Will you make a smooth move this season?

I’m always scared to try new products because I have sensitive skin. I never know what’ll irritate it. But this sounds promising!

I have never tried a product with alpha hydroxy acids in it. They sound like they produce amazing results but I wonder if they would be too harsh for my sensitive skin.

I like hearing that these products can work with very sensitive skin. Need to try a tester of it first though before ‘jumping in’.

My skin is very sensitive, especially in the winter. I would use the Normal to Oily skin formula. I’ve heard from a couple people before this was posted that NeoStrata is a very good brand!

I am a huge fan of NeoStrata. For years they have been touting the acid-exfoliation benefit and then everyone else jumped on the bandwagon. I thank them for the compliments I get on my skin (along with sunscreen). And they are reasonably priced to boot!

This sounds really great and I have such awful looking dry skin. My legs especially that I hate wearing shorts or capri’s where my legs a bare. I have dry blotchy spots that are some brown and some red… and my skin at times looks like aligator skin lol. I may have to look into this cream and lotion. Thanks for the info… I will check it out.

So it looks like this company is Canadian, which is something I’ve been looking for lately in my skincare products. I was ordering from a company in the US but I’d REALLY prefer to not do that anymore. Will be checking their stuff out soon!
