This Summer, Keep Moving!

August 24, 2017 By Lena 713 Comments

Note: The following giveaway is open to Canadians only.

With two active boys under the age of 10, I don’t spend a lot of time putting my feet up.

In fact, on our last two vacations, both my husband and I met our daily steps goal before noon. “How is this possible?” I asked. “I’m spending more time walking around when I should be lying on a beach!”
But that’s life with kids; they keep us young (and perpetually exhausted) and when given a choice between sitting by the pool or hitting the nearest theme park, they don’t hesitate to grab their running shoes. My husband and I do our best to keep up, but sometimes body, joint or muscle pain can get in our way. That’s why we use Advil® 12 Hour.

If you’re looking to replace your pain reliever with one convenient pill to manage your long-lasting pain, Advil 12 Hour may be right for you. Just one pill keeps working for up to 12 hours to help relieve long-lasting pain, so you can accomplish all you want (including conquering all the roller coasters at your favourite amusement park).

“Long-lasting body pain may be more common as we get older but it shouldn’t stop us from enjoying life. Research has found that a combination of treatment methods, including physiotherapy, massage therapy and medications, show good results when managing long-lasting pain,” says Dr. Jeff Habert, a family physician in Thornhill, Ontario.

Advil 12 Hour’s effective immediate release/extended release formula works to relieve pain with a quick-dissolving layer for pain relief that’s fast and an extended release layer for relief that lasts. Let the fun begin! Hello… super scary roller coaster? (Gulp.)
Are you constantly on the go – by choice, or by decree of the family’s adrenaline junkies? This summer, don’t let long-lasting body pain interfere with your ability to keep up! These three simple tips can help relieve your pain:

Stay Active. Body pain may lead you to avoid physical activity. But low-impact activities like walking, stretching or light exercises can actually help manage pain and even increase strength and flexibility.

Get Relief. To help relieve your pain so you can accomplish everything you want to, try a non-prescription pain reliever. For Canadians looking to replace their pain reliever with one convenient pill, just one Advil 12 Hour is an option that keeps working throughout the day for up to 12 hours.

Hot and Cold. Direct heat from hot packs or a warm bath can help relax tight muscles, while ice packs can help reduce inflammation and ease pain.

(Of course, these tips are suggestions and do not replace medical advice. Always read and follow the label or speak with your doctor to ensure Advil 12 Hour is right for you.)

This summer, keep moving! Look for Advil 12 Hour in your local pharmacy. You can also visit Advil.ca to download a coupon for $3 off the purchase of Advil 12 Hour.
How would you spend an active summer day, if pain wasn’t holding you back? Leave a comment with your answer for a chance win a “Keep Moving This Summer” Prize Pack, valued at $250. For bonus entries, fill the form below!

If PAIN were not holding me back I definitely want to get back into shape by riding my bicycle. Having broken my ankle a few months back, surgery with a lot of hardware placed and tons of physio – riding a bike pain free would be a welcome activity. Until one goes thru this misadventure one has no realization the drawbacks that come with breaking an ankle.

Due to an injury my summer has already be ruined, if it and pain weren’t stopping me I would take my Niece for a day out to Playland because she’d really wanted to go there and its something we enjoy doing together every summer.

I would definitely walk more on weekends if I didn’t suffer from pain from working 10 hr shifts at work. We have been chronically understaffed for the past 13 yrs, and every year, its the same old thing. Overtime all the time, no respite and none of us at work are getting younger, we’re mostly over the age of 50 in the plant I work in. My days starts and ends with pain killers, usually the max of 8 a day. Pretty sure its not going to get any better any time soon unless the new owners give a $2/hr raise so that we can attrack some young blood to the work force.

If feeling great and enjoying great summer weather, best is going around town for some sun, a nice walk, loving the city. Go on a road trip 1-2 hrs drive up a North and visit some small towns, check, out the local stores, grab a bite and enjoy some soft serve ice cream. Take some photos…

Another option is to go for a nice round of golf, get a nice tan and have a beer afterwards.
