Back to School #ParentWins with Walmart Canada!

August 15, 2017 By Lena 31 Comments

It’s crunch time, moms.

With just a couple of weeks to go before the BIG DAY, chances are, you have places to go and people to outfit. (In many, many outfits….) So where can you find stylish, affordable clothing that can keep up with your kids and their fashion personas? Walmart Canada, of course!
Pictured Above: George Boys’ Graphic Shirts ($12.97), George Boys’ Skinny Fit Jeans ($11.97), Athletic Works Boys’ Smith Athletic Shoe (on Ryder, $24.97) and AND1 Boys’ Fantasy Basketball Shoes (on Reid, $29.97).

This month marks my sixth back-to-school shopping season – and, not coincidentally, the sixth time I’ve headed to Walmart Canada to load up my cart!
In addition to easily finding on-trend pieces that my boys are thrilled to wear, I love that it’s a one-stop for everything I need for back-to-school. Lunch bags, notebooks, pencils and backpacks (really, you name it), it all gets done in one or two shopping trips, max. Plus, with thousands of items available online, I can even shop from the comfort of my home for those items that I missed (or, have suddenly become a must-have). Now that’s a parenting win!

This year, however, I had a new challenge: dressing two boys who’ve morphed into style-conscious students. Whereas in the past they’ve simply worn what was presented to them, this time around both boys had definitive opinions on what would pass as “cool.” Thankfully, I found a variety of looks that appealed to their flair for fashion while appealing to my wallet, too.

For back-to-school 2017, I present to you…

The Preppy Primary.

He’s cool, he’s going back to school and he’s no fool when it comes to knowing what he wants.
He always pairs George Boys’ Graphic Shirts ($12.97) with George Boys’ Skinny Fit Jeans ($11.97); the slim, tailored fit is structured while still giving him freedom to move.
The Shy Guy.

He’s the strong, silent type and turns bright red when girls run up to him to say hello. He hasn’t quite figured out his social game but knows that casually rolled up shirtsleeves is never a bad idea.
Even though mom bought the same George Boys’ Graphic Shirts ($12.97) and George Boys’ Skinny Fit Jeans ($11.97) for him as his little brother, he makes the look all his own.
(Don’t forget to grab a rugged backpack from Athletic Works! They have several styles to choose from starting at just $4.88 – that’s not a typo! We went with a slightly larger backpack this year after continually struggling with smaller bags in the past. Related – take it easy with the homework, teachers!)

The Rock Star.

There’s no lack of confidence here!
This little guy loves the rock ‘n roll lifestyle and has the threads to prove it, including a George Boys’ Graphic Tee ($4.00) and über cool George Boys’ Slim Fit Jeans ($14.97). Rock on!
The Cool Casuals.

They’re at their best in comfortable, casual clothing that stands up to repeated wear.
A warm George Boys’ Popover Hoody ($11.97) and George Boys’ “Legend” Graphic Top (8.00) are the perfect picks to take them from fall to spring.
Like what you see? Then you’ll LOVE this: George clothing for kids comes with a quality guarantee.

“We know kids can be tough on clothes. That’s why Walmart guarantees you’ll be satisfied with our children’s clothing (sizes 0 to 16). We guarantee that our children’s clothing won’t wear out before your child outgrows them. If the item does wear out, simply return it with your original receipt to any Walmart Canada store and we’ll replace it with an identical item of the same size. If the identical item is not available in that size, we’ll substitute a similar item of equal size and price.”

This season, whether you’re shopping for a Shy Guy or Rock Star, Walmart Canada has everything you need at incredible prices.

I like shopping at Walmart, well it’s mainly the only clothing store we have in my area, so I have to like it, but lately I find their prices are increasing quite a bit!

We buy a lot of school supplies at Walmart but I never think of Walmart for back-to-school clothes. Your handsome boys are modeling some really nice clothes. I am inspired to check out our Walmart’s kids’ clothing departments.

We always seem to find great deals at Walmart! There really is no other place that offers such cheap school supplies, at least not around me. I love that they price compare. My hubby and I had purchased a tablet, 2 weeks later same tablet was on sale.. we were given the different in the price we paid and the sale price… you can do that for up to 30 days after you’ve purchased an item. THAT to me is the biggest benefit to making purchases at Walmart, especially large ones.
