Back to School: Your Surprise is Waiting.

One more month. One more month to spend time with my little guys this summer; to watch them smile, hear them laugh and run around footloose and fancy free. One more month to listen to their sweet voices…. arguing and yelling. One month of watching them push, punch and fight…

Okay, so perhaps this month can’t go by fast enough.

Et voila! Back to school time is upon us. The happiest time of the year just got happier for me, because I’ve had a chance to indulge in some back to school shopping, scoring fabulous name brands at out of this world prices. In fact, here’s how I grabbed “First Day of School” outfits for BOTH my boys – for under $100!

Surprise! I found everything at Marshalls. They even have a back to school checklist published online that you could quickly glance through prior to your shopping.
DSC_1134Marshalls is always top of mind for me for back to school, because they have everything I need to make sure my boys start the year in style. Plus, where else can I deck them out in brand names such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Levis 501 and more – for less? 

Top Three Reasons I #LoveMarshalls:

1. Selection. Everything from footwear, apparel and backpacks to stationary, sunglasses and recyclable lunch containers are available in-store. Plus, inventory is constantly refreshed so I never know what new and exciting products I’ll find! My boys are at an age where they’re easy to dress; I normally go for a mix of preppy and comfortable. With a great selection of the latest fashions, shopping at Marshalls for my stylish boys is a dream!

2. Value. Marshalls has surprising savings. I mean, we all know that the prices are always fabulous, but the proof is in the purchase – here’s how I scored two outfits (plus backpacks!) for under $100!

DSC_1122DSC_1127Yes, that’s Reid showing off his 501 jeans. Even he knows a premium label when he sees it! And I must say, I’m always blown away by the quality of Polo shirts. At only $12.99, I’m tempted to pick up a few more in different colours.

3. Philanthropy. From August 1–31, a portion of proceeds (to a maximum of $50,000) from all backpack sales at Marshalls will be donated to Kids Help Phone, the only national helpline for young people in Canada.     I have never been inside Marshalls although there is one nearby, I kinda assumed it was pricey. I will go inside next time I am shopping!

    Marshalls has great clothes for ladies too. I like the store but since it is like Winners where products come in and out, I find it a little frustrating. I have to make numerous trips to get what I want and often I go away empty handed since they don’t have my size in what I want. When I find what I want in my size then I love the store -great prices and nice merchandise but for someone who does not like shopping, I want a place where I can get in and get what I want the first trip rather than having to visit 3 or 4 times over 6 months to get things.
