#BandTogether! Get Meghan Trainor to a Canadian Small Town!

May 23, 2016 By Lena

I’ll admit it: growing up in and around Toronto, I’ve had no shortage of opportunities to see “big name” acts live in concert. In fact, even when other large Canadian cities are shunned on “World” or “North American” tours, Torontonians are always treated to a stop for the most popular bands and singers.

Time to change that.

AIR MILES is proud to present DETOUR, a new music program launched by the AIR MILES Reward Program in partnership with Live Nation. In the spirit of being better together, AIR MILES will be rewarding a lucky Canadian small town with an epic music experience – a chance to host Meghan Trainor LIVE in concert!
bg--vip-headerWant to get in on the fun? You should – because there’s totally something in it for YOU!

First, select the small town Canadian town you’d like to support from these finalists. I have committed my vote to Mulmur, ON! (Here’s a reason: They’re home to a festival that changed music history.)

Then, register by May 31, 2016 at airmiles.ca/detour, and you’ll automatically receive one entry each time you use a Bonus Offer coupon featured in the AIR MILES Detour Coupon Book.

There are five (5) Grand Prizes available to be won: each prize consists of round trip air (or ground) transportation for the winner and up to three (3) guests to the winning Detour town selected by AIR MILES Collectors; two (2) nights standard hotel accommodation; four (4) tickets for the Detour concert held between July and August 2016; a VIP Experience at the Detour concert for the winner and his/her guests; VIP Merchandise for the winner valued at $500 AND $500 CDN in spending money for the Winner!

There’s just over a week left to vote, so hurry! And let’s bring Meghan Trainor to Mulmur, ON!

I would love it if she came to ontario as I know a few artists that don’t come my way. Adele didn’t only as far as Montreal. That’s a 4 hour ride for me.

What a fun idea, that smaller towns also get to hold a concert for someone famous, fantastic. I wonder which place won.

I used to go to concerts frequently but then the scalpers and their corrupting computer programs made it impossible for anyone to get tickets, well tickets that aren’t our near the parking area and that don’t cost a huge amount of money. So I stopped going until the government or ticket master fixes this and makes it fair again. As a matter of fact the bands should stand up for their fans and insist something be done. Oops sorry for the rant!

It’s nice for smaller centers to have fun events like this! I’m lucky that although I live in a small town we have a ton of events here in Banff!
