(Almost) Picture Perfect

May 9, 2016 By Lena

We took 18 family photos today at Hollywood Studios and this was the best one. Once in a while, I’m asked why I don’t put my kids in modelling. This would be why.Life isn’t picture perfect – not even when you’re on vacation. Kids will be silly, and throw tantrums, and push parents to their limits. They’ll fight and refuse to eat and splash water in each other’s faces even after the giggles have turned into tears.

You’ll ask yourself more than once why you even bothered to spend your hard-earned money. All you wanted to do was make memories with your children, but they’re behaving like a bunch of lunatics, not showing an ounce of gratitude for your generosity and sacrifices.

And then, just when you’ve reached your breaking point and you’re ready to head back to your hotel room, you’ll see wonder and delight etched across your child’s face as they discover something new, make a new friend or experience a moment of magic.

And just like that, you’ll decide that it’s worth it. It’s all worth it.

We have two more days left in our Walt Disney World vacation and we intend on making the most of our time here. I’ll be back later this week! In the meantime, have a wonderful day, friends!

This picture makes me so happy hah It might not be a ‘perfect’ family photo – but there is so much happiness in that photo :)

THAT is a photo for YEARS to come that you all will look back on and smile at.

Enjoy the last of your holiday!

I think this picture is adorable. You can definitely see the magic, even though they’re looking away from the camera. It’ll be moments they’ll giggle about in the future.

Great photo! Pictures are perfect often because of what they capture rather than what they intended to.

Adorable family, and yes, we could never get a picture with everyone looking great. Still can’t and my kids are in university. My sons love to goof it up and i usually don’t know it until after that someone was up to something! Good Times!

I know what you mean about the photo, I have 7 children all adults now but to try and get a family photo it took about 100 tries, there was always one of them being silly :-) I can laugh about it now but it was extremely frustrating at the time. :-)
