Okay, so perhaps it’s not the Yeti that has me so freaked out.
Perhaps it’s the backwards portion of the roller coaster. Or the fact that a large part of it takes place in the dark. Now that I think about it, it’s probably the ascension to the top of the mountain, the 80-foot drop, or the basic reasoning that it’s labeled a “thrill ride”.
Whatever the reason, I’m scared of Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.
“My 7-year old rode it!” one IG follower said in encouragement. Well, the thing is – so did mine. And that gives me cold comfort, because now I realize that I’m the biggest wimp ever.
“It’s nothing – you hardly feel anything and then it’s over,” my husband assured me. However, I can’t help but remember that time I ate chips from his private stash, and he promised he’d get me back… and I can picture him saying “Ha! Ha! Gotcha!” as we barrel down the mountain. Shudder.
Alas, for all the times I’ve been to Walt Disney World, I do believe it’s time to conquer my fear. Wish me luck, friends. I’m ready for the Forbidden Mountain.
Good luck……I would never be brave enough to do it!
I have a terrible fear of heights so i could never do this, sure beautiful
All through my teenage years and so forth to now, I have never stepped one foot into the seat of a rollercoaster, the closest I got was the water log ride at Canada’s Wonderland back when I was in gr 8, so that was like back in 1982, I’m deathly scared of them and scared the cart is going to fly off the edge
I find as I get older I am not as daring. I use to love rollercoasters but now not so much.
I took my son on it just after he turned 7. He screamed like a banshee the whole time … then declared “THAT WAS AWESOME!! I’m NEVER DOING THAT AGAIN!” lol
Pretty sure my wife had the same thought haha…
not sure I would ride it
I did the ride with hubby in January and we would do it all over again. I can’t wait to read about your experience :)
When I saw the pic, it’s so picturesque that I was pretty sure I would ride it, I do enjoy roller coasters. But then when you said 80-foot drop, my tummy fluttered & if I was actually there I would probably run for the hills too!
pass on the wild rides for me…………
You are a brave lady, Ms Lena lol Braver than I, for sure!
I would not go on that
The Forbidden Mountain is so much fun!
We’ve never been to Walt Disney world yet……….
I wouldn’t go on it either! haha
Wow, no way would I even set foot on that but then I never have been on a roller coaster, they scare me just looking at them. I hope you enjoyed it without being too scared.
i’ll stick with the teacup ride
I really want to go there!!
That sounds totally fun! there used to be a similar roller coaster at Disneyland that was in a mountain and had a yeti and it was my favorite as a kid. I’m guessing this is an upgraded version!
Roller Coasters are not for me, bravo to you
this picture is mesmerising, it looks like one of those digital fantasy ones
So how was it? Was it as bad as you thought ? I was never afraid of roller coasters but the rides that spin round and round always made me feel like I was going to be sick.
As my grandkids would say,Nanny the older you get the less brave you are…..smart kids they are so correct!!
