Another Monday, another Covet List!
(A little background: Since I’ve decided that coveting is infinitely more agreeable than reckless spending, I was thrilled to be approached by Nadia Carriere of Child Mode to participate in the Monday Covet List. Together with some of my favorite fashion and style bloggers, Nicole Feliciano of Mom Trends, Vera Sweeney of Lady and the Blog and Audrey McClelland of Mom Generations, we’ll share 3-4 covet-worthy products that we are currently lusting over.)
Of course, I’ve realized that coming up with a covet list is way too easy because I tend to covet things all the time. This week, I’ve got the following gorgeous pieces on my mind (and perhaps favourited on my browser)…
Today’s #CovetList is brought to you by a recent “tête-a-tête” with my husband, who is convinced that little Ryder is committing a heinous fashion crime by sporting a $25 Spider-Man fall jacket. “Leave him alone!” I cry, perfectly content with his adorable little look. “Are you kidding?” scoffs my husband. “A kid as good looking as Ryder needs to dress like the man!”
Is there anyone who can explain what “the man” looks like? Because the last time I checked, my little man is only 5 years old. And to tell the truth, he’s afraid of girls at the moment, and I’d like to keep it that way for the next 13 years.
Nevertheless, Ryder does have a certain GQ-esque quality about him; he enjoys slicking his hair back with pomade, has a keen sense of style and always remembers to match his socks to his shoes. (Dress shoes = dark grey socks, running shoes = white socks.) And so I acknowledged that maybe it’s time to kick it up a notch with his personal style. Or rather, the one I’m creating for him.
Thankfully, I have to look no further than Zara – they have a plethora of gorgeous styles for boys ages 2-14, and as such, I am in full-on covet mode. The coats range from sporty to structured to biker-chic, and with prices from $39.90 to $69.90, I can afford to mix it up. Ryder: get ready to look fabulous.
