Now tell the truth – how many of y’all were completely curious about their Bacon Soap? Hope you had a good chuckle – I know I did :)

As a reminder, up for grabs is a $50 Gift Card to Soapier.ca.

And the winner is… #253 Tracy!
Congratulations!

p.s. I’m still using my Blue Sugar soap! It’s been over a month now, and I’ve still got plenty left. These 5oz slices last a looong time, peeps… and the fragrance stays true, even after multiple uses. LOVE it!

Lena Loves… Soapier.ca

April 12, 2011 By Lena

*NOTE* The following giveaway is open to Canadians only.

It’s no secret I have a weak spot for soap. Bar soap, hand soap, body wash – even dishwashing detergent – I love it’s foaming, cleansing and rejuvenating properties. That, and it gets the sticky out of toddler hands :)

So when I heard that the über popular Soapier.com now has a Canadian website – Soapier.ca – I was literally jumping for joy!

Why Soapier.ca?

“Our glycerin soaps are made from high quality vegetable glycerin (except for our goat’s milk soaps!). Only the finest quality ingredients and fragrances go into our soaps, and they are all 100% North American made. They look great, feel even better, and smell absolutley amazing!

Our soap is so good, you’ll want to eat it! (please don’t eat the soap.)” Ha! Love it!

Their vividly colored, strikingly scented and lavishly lush products are fun and functional whether cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating or simply enjoying a pampering body treatment. Soapier.ca generously sent me a sample of their most popular soaps to review, including Blue Sugar, Pink Sugar, Crisp Cotton (my fave!), Oatmeal Milk & Honey and Lemon Poppy Goats Milk Soap.

I ripped open the Blue Sugar soap immediately – part of their Men’s Line, I love the woodsy, cedar fragrance that continues to permeate throughout my entire bathroom. Even though the combination of scents is typically masculine, I find the fragrance to be refreshing and sensual. And have you noticed those gorgeous blue swirls of colour?

But it’s more than just the look and smell – the soap is moisturizing, rinses well and leaves absolutely no residue behind, making it perfect for both hands and body.

(I tried to strategically place foamy bubbles in the right place before taking the picture – as you can see, I probably shouldn’t quit my day job.)

Check out some of these awesomely whimsical soaps:

Yes, there is a Bacon Soap. And yes, it does smell like bacon. I literally rolled on the floor laughing while reading up on where to place a slice of Bacon Soap… click here to discover new ways to enjoy the delicious aroma of bacon.

Now if you purchase just one soap the first time, I do recommend you try Soapier.ca’s Crisp Cotton Soap. I kid you not; as I’m tying this review, I keep grabbing the bar and sniffing it (for inspiration? as a substitute for coffee? whatever).

“Remember the clean, warm scent of clothes that your mother hung out on the line? We’ve capture the breeze and sunshine of that sweet smelling laundry in our Crisp Cotton soap to bring that same freshness to your bath.”

It is one of the cleanest, freshest fragrances I’ve ever had the pleasure of inhaling. My husband jokes that perhaps I should actually unwrap the package and give it a try – I admit, that would likely enhance my enjoyment of the product – but for now, I’m happy to have it as my personal reminder of summers gone by.

The soap is generously portioned at 5oz per slice, and quite affordable at just $7.50 – I’ve paid upwards of $12.00 for handcrafted soaps slices. And after using my Blue Sugar soap for over two weeks now, there’s still 80% of it left :)

All of Soapier.ca‘s soaps are in stock in Canada and ready to ship. No long waits for your soaps to cross the border, no currency conversion costs, and no surprise duties or brokerage fees! Two fist pumps!
