“In 2010, while visiting Spain with my husband, a missionary taught me how to crochet. Crochet had always baffled me, but I had always been drawn to the beautiful stitches you could do with crochet. In fact, my grandparents and great-grandparents were amazing crocheters.

After coming back from Spain with a better understanding of crochet I dropped my knitting needles and picked up a set of crochet hooks and took off! After a few weeks of work I showed my grandmother some of my first works. She quietly smiled and left the room to pull something from her bedroom closet. She returned with a cup full of crochet hooks, all of which had been passed down from my great-grandparents. She handed them all to me and told me to keep making pretty things with them.” …
