If you’re a woman, in your 30’s, it’s likely one of those things you haven’t given a second thought.
Osteoporosis.
Oh, come on! That’s not on your radar for… what… another 30 years or so? I used to feel that way too. Until I received a very effective wake-up call, in the form of one single statistic: Women and men alike begin to lose bone in their mid-30s. Simply put, what you ignore today… could catch up to you tomorrow. Or even sooner.
So, what can you do? Educate yourself, of course! It’s never too early to think about your bone health. A well-balanced diet, consumption of calcium-rich foods, along with regular exercise, is the key to osteoporosis prevention. Thankfully, we have access to expert information from the folks at Osteoporosis Canada, in addition to dietitians who can offer advice and support, such as Diana Steele from Earth’s Own.
Bone is living tissue, constantly renewing itself. Give it the respect it deserves.
