As the world begins to open safely, we’re once again dreaming, planning and enjoying leisure travel! While everyone has their own level of comfort when it comes to vacations abroad, at the very least, we’re all hoping to move in a decidedly forward and positive direction.
In the meantime, why not bring a little bit of the Caribbean into your home this summer? Beaches Resorts has generously shared the recipes for their most popular cocktails mixed at their all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Until you can experience the ultimate luxury family getaway at one of their stunning properties (my pick: Beaches Turks & Caicos!), let’s cheers at home to sandy beaches and warm breezes!
And to be honest – whether it’s planning the perfect getaway or simply balancing the highs and lows of everyday life, sometimes, mommy needs a cocktail!
Be sure to pin the following recipe cards for a taste of paradise at home – I’m sure you’ll feel all the vacay vibes while recreating these popular cocktails! (Tip: Simply leave out the alcohol for a delicious mocktail.)
1. Dirty Banana: A favourite cocktail of Beaches Negril guests.
I consider a Dirty Banana my preferred “poolside” drink; it’s light, refreshing and hits all the tropical notes. At home, serve it at a pool party! The recipe doubles, triples – even quadruples! – easily with minimal effort!
2. Frozen Bob Marley: Favourite cocktail of Beaches Ocho Rios guests.
I can attest that this cocktail (and mocktail version) is an obsession with my family – check out this picture of my boys enjoying a glass on the beach! I can’t wait to surprise them with their very own Frozen Bob Marley made at home.
3. Miami Vice: Favourite cocktail of Beaches Turks & Caicos guests.
Could there be a better cocktail to sip while vacation planning? I don’t think so! Grab a Miami Vice and your laptop, and let the planning begin. Bonus points if your mixed drink inspo leads you to Beaches Turks & Caicos, where they’ve crowned this cocktail their fave.
4. Hummingbird
This is my pick for girls night! A recipe that’s easy to make for crowds, you’ll be the hostess with the mostest when you serve this drink to your squad. And honestly, life (and drinks) is always better with a cherry on top!
5. Purple Rain
It’s time to impress even the most discerning mixed drink enthusiast. An ode to the popular song by the iconic Prince, you won’t even need a blender for this cocktail – just a hot summer night and someone to sip with.
I hope I’ve inspired you to recreate these amazing cocktails at home! And hopefully – see you by the pool bar soon?

I’ve never heard of these cocktails, but I need to try them all now! I’m having a steel drum band for my husband’s 60th and I think I might need to have one of them as the “signature” drink!
