Fall Florals – I’m Ready in George!

Dear Fall Season – I could not love you more.

From falling orange leaves to pumpkin spice lattes, to slouchy gray cardigans, to over-the-knee boots, you really rock my world.

This year, I’m ready to get flirty in florals.
Floral prints are my go-to look whenever I want to feel pretty without being overdone. They’re effortlessly romantic and lend just a bit of sweetness to any outfit. Whether you choose a colourful blouse or an artfully demure dress, there’s no wrong way to take on this season’s hottest trend.

Do you love my George aubergine-coloured floral dress? Me too! But it almost didn’t make its way home with me.

Recently, I visited Walmart (oh, who are we kidding – I’m always there). The women’s section is absolutely teeming with gorgeous floral patterns in all prints, colours and sizes. In fact, the selection of on-trend George clothing was so robust, it took me almost half an hour to settle on a few key items!

Pink floral blouse or turquoise paisley dress? Roses on black or tulips on green? You can surely see my dilemma. And since George apparel is so affordable and fashionable, I had to remind myself that I didn’t actually need one in every colour.

Finally, it came down to this navy trapeze dress ($15) or the dress pictured in this post. Clearly you’ve figured out my final decision, but I actually put the navy dress in my cart first… and then switched the two right before I checked out. What can I say? If I’m going to adopt the floral trend, I may as well take it all the way by selecting a dress in richer tones of merlot and burgundy – also very hot for fall 2017!

In addition to the dress, I also picked up a few complementary items to complete my look.

A gray George Ladies Handbag contrasts perfectly with my dress and I love its neutral hue for fall and beyond. With two young boys, I normally don’t invest in light-coloured accessories, but at only $24.97 this handbag is a steal!
Next, what’s a fall outfit without a cozy cardigan? This George Women’s Long Open Cardigan features long sleeves and side slits. I love the silhouette it offers when paired with my floral dress. (I also love the price – just $19.97).

I’m ready in George and ready for fall!
This cardigan would also pair perfectly with a floral blouse and leather leggings, both of which I just happen to have. I love outfit planning on the fly! It’s easy with so many great pieces from George.

    Super cute! Unfortunately we went from summer to winter with no fall! :( It is seriously snowing right now here in the Rockies and it’s darn cold too. I’m hoping fall will show up at some point so I can wear some of my cute fall clothes!

    It’s amazes me how Walmart can make such nice clothing because I know they have a lot of really nice pieces that go together or with pieces from other stores plus they have really reasonable prices
