Fall in Autumn Style with Ease: Three Ways to Sneak in Comfort!

Some will suggest that the very best part of fall is the beauty of the season; colourful leaves, stellar sunsets and a layer of shiny dew on green grasses.

Others will point to the bountiful harvest; sweet apples, crunchy pears and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. (Oops, do those count as harvest?)

Me? I’m all about fall fashion. For weeks I have been admiring chunky, cable knit sweaters; soft, oh-so-stretchy pants and structured, fashion-forward footwear.

Because, if you’re like me, the most important thing about a fashion trend is that it’s actually wearable! And there is nothing chic about hobbling around in too-high heels or too-tight jeans. 1. Find the Perfect Pair of Jeggings. What the heck are jeggings? Just the most perfect marriage between jeans and leggings. For those occasions where jeans will do but leggings are too casual, jeggings are the perfect choice. They’re stretchy, made of soft cotton and often imitate the look and styling of skinny jeans, without the button fly (hello breakfast buffet!). Yes, friends, pull-on jeans! And they hug your curves to give you the most flattering silhouette.

The trick is finding the perfect jeggings for your body-type; thankfully a variety of popular fashion retailers stock them year-round. Pair them with a tunic, fitted cardigan or oxford shirt.

2. The Sweater Dress. Ah, the most versatile day-to-night piece and a staple for every fall wardrobe! Sweater dresses are my go-to for comfort and style. Often made of the softest materials – including a mix of luxurious cashmere – they can be fashioned a variety of ways: under a blazer for the office, with over-the-knee boots for date night, or paired with high-top sneakers for a fun, flirty look on weekends.
