The kids are running around, my bedroom is a disheveled mix of suitcases, clothing and lightsabers, and I’ve got a to-do list taped to no less than four doors in my house… but it’s all awesome because we are headed to DISNEYLAND!
I’m on a t-minus 5 day countdown until we leave for the #DisneyVacayCA media trip to Disneyland, California. We’ll enjoy a stay at the stunning Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which boasts a breathtaking 6-story lobby constructed of stone and wood plus stately American Craftsman-style décor in all rooms. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is a premium hotel that celebrates the grandeur of the great outdoors.
Of course, we’ll spend tons of time in Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park (three days of fun!), so you can bet this Disneyland newbie will be all over the attractions. And speaking of attractions, you do know I have two Disney Cars fanatics, right? I predict we’ll be spending a LOT of time in Cars Land!
Now a visit to any Disney Park would not be complete without getting up and close with Disney characters. And on this particular trip, we are so excited to be hanging with Elsa and Anna from Disney’s Frozen! I cannot wait to see the expressions on Ryder and Reid’s faces as they meet their crushes. (And perhaps spontaneously belt out Let it Go.) Because really, if they’re crushing on a Princess, I can totally endorse that. Aim high, boys!
We’ll also spend a full day touring the beaches of SoCal! Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach (squee!) Balboa Pier and Waterfront Beach are all on the itinerary. The day will end with us toasting s’mores – vacay heaven!
I’m so excited – I feel like running around with a lightsaber too! We’ll be off on Friday and I’ll return Wednesday, but I’ll be sure to take advantage of the free Wifi at both the hotel and the parks, and keep y’all posted. Until then, I’ve got just a few more sleeps, and a thousand things to do, so I’d better get on that!
Thinking of experiencing Southern California? Book your #DisneyVacayCA today!

I have been to the Disneyland in California twice. When I was little, my Mum took me and my two sisters…to visit family also but we all had so much fun.
It’s one of the best places on earth for family vacations!
Been to Disney World, but not Disneyland. World was too much for me, so perhaps this would be better.
It’s definitely as wonderful as Disney World, on a smaller scale! You’d love it!
