Introducing: ARTDECO Cosmetics

April 7, 2014 By Lena

It’s no surprise that I have an affinity for artfully designed, beautifully packaged makeup. In fact, I often post photos of recent acquisitions… but then become too attached to the impeccable styling and craftsmanship of the items, and simply can’t bear to actually use them.

Let’s just say that if I ever quit my day job, I could open a makeup art gallery.

Hence, of course I am obsessed with ARTDECO Cosmetics. For some, they need no introduction; since officially launching in Canada last summer, they’ve gained a cult following by those inspired by trendsetting couture.

But for the rest of you who have yet to discover the brand, I thought it was only polite that I provide you with an informal introduction. You may have seen their fashion-froward products at Shoppers Drug Mart, where they enjoy residence at 66 select locations across Canada. This year, more than 20 new stores are expected to carry the line.

“The secret to ARTDECO’s success is in the company’s constant focus on the individual wishes and needs of all women, combined with uncompromising quality and reasonable pricing. ARTDECO offers a wealth of special products and refillable and magnetic beauty boxes, which allow users to customize their own color palette to their needs.”

ARTDECO is identified by its on-trend and fashion-forward designs, the beautiful art creations they incorporate on packaging and the partnerships they have developed with influential designers and personalities including Talbot Runhof, Britto and Dita Von Teese. Highlights include:

Trend Colours: Twice a year, ARTDECO presents a range of fabulous new colours, carefully chosen to match the latest fashion trends. Picture below: In time for a spring fling, ARTDECO has officially announced their newest love-themed Spring/Summer Fashion Colors Collection. In lavenders, limes, emeralds and rosés, the ‘Love is in the Air’ Collection awakens springtime feelings and adds a playful cheerfulness to any look.

Refillable Products: The containers of eyeshadows and blushers all have magnets in the base so you can combine your favorite colors in the Beauty Boxes and change them as you please. Refills are also available for other products.

Specialty Products: Camouflage products, lipstick fixative and eyeshadow base are just some of many products that will make your make-up more even, last longer, and more professional than ever before without too much investment.

Innovations: ARTDECO is constantly adding new accents with trend products and innovations such as the high quality Pure Minerals collection. Many of these products become true classics, such as the refillable Système Mosaïque, the Camouflage range, and the practical Eye Designer.

The line is moderately priced (example, Art Couture lipsticks are 0.14oz/4g, retail $22.00). But the most compelling feature of the makeup is the “wow” factor; the chance to own a piece of art – one that just happens to fit in your makeup bag, of course. Click here to visit ARTDECO Cosmetics.
