Hello friends! If you’ve noticed the sporadic nature of my posts this week, high five! It means that you’ve missed me, and I love you for that. However, I am around… I’m just otherwise occupied, turning my basement into a Man Cave.
Three things: Home Depot Canada. Behr Paint. Entertainment Area.
Oh, it’s coming along nicely. Want a sneak peek? Sure! What was this….
Now looks like this:
Of course, it’s only a work in progress. The storage unit you see is actually just a place holder for our television (which will now be on the opposite wall that we had it orginally). Of course, the reason for the swap is so that we can make room for our brand new, wall mounted electric fireplace.
And this is just ONE room! #ProjectManCave continues and promises to take up much of my free time – but I LOVE it. We’re so pleased with the way the renos are going, and adore the products we’ve picked up at Home Depot Canada. The paint for this room was only $36.97, but look at what a difference it has made in warming up the room!
With that, I’m off to start my day… knowing that my night will be spent in my Man Cave. Have a great weekend all!
Love that paint colour it really changes the feel of the room!
It certainly does! It makes it feel more intimate (but not red room of pain intimate, if you know what I mean).
Looking good!!!! Loving that sofa set and the red walls? Gorgeous!
Love it!!! Love how the furniture pops from the room!
Agreed! Even the trim on the baseboards has more life now!
Really nice. I love the colour.
Thanks Nicoline!
Great progress so far! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Thank you Yash! We love it too!
Love the colour you chose. Is that merlot? It’s coming along beautifully, can’t wait to see the rest.
Thanks Tricha! The exact shade is Behr “Bolero”. It’s a burgundy-red, very much like a merlot!
It looks fantastic so far! Looking forward to following the progress!
Thanks Kate!
Good-bye basic beige and hello colour !! Your new paint colour really adds dimension and a cozy feel to the room. Love it ! (And yes, I missed your posts ;) )
Aw, thank you Flora! You’re so good to me!
It looks lovely. Sadly our basement requires far, far too much work to even think about a man cave.
Poops :( One day maybe?
Love the color!!! Your basement is looking great, can’t wait to see it when it is done!
Thanks Judy!
Great paint colour choice! The red and your black couches… it’s perfect for a man cave! It looks like a room from MTV Cribs!
Hahaha my husband will be thrilled you said that!
I love this rich, warm, burgandy-red colour. Can’t wait to see the completed man cave project.
Thanks Marissa!
LOVE IT! :D It is amazing how one sharp coat of paint can transform the room already!
Totally agree! Thanks Soozle!
Looks like a pretty darn cool mancave to me!
Thanks Anne! I totally agree, LOL!
It’s looking awesome so far! I love the red, and the sectional looks great!
Thank you Nicole!
I love the deep red! I hope you had a lovely weekend in your man cave!
We did! Thanks Victoria~
Looks a lot more modern! I like your colour choices :)
Thank you Erin!
love love love!!! Where did you find the bird canvas paintings?
We grabbed them years ago at Bed, Bath and Beyond!
I love the color on the walls!
Thank you – it’s my fave shade of red!
Where is the TV? Got to have that!
It’s not pictured, but it’s definitely there!
Nice… great design
Thank you Michelle!
I love that pillow on the couch,it just jumps right out
I love the new furniture but I’m not a fan of the burgundy because it’s too dark for me. I prefer more light. I just love how the “man cave” took over your life because I would think it’s supposed to be your husbands job to do. lol
P.S. I love the red in your sitting room, that is if you still have it.
