When Pain is a Pain… Get Relief.

November 11, 2013 By Lena

There are some things you’ll never forget. Your first kiss; your first driving lesson; the day you moved out of your parents’ home. And for women, the moment you found out you were pregnant. Who can forget that euphoria?

Well, speaking of pregnancy, there’s one more thing I’ll never forget – and no, it’s not the pain of labour. (Though I remember it well enough that I’d like to avoid it again at all costs.) I’ll never forget the day I developed sciatica.

“Pregnancy-related sciatica occurs when a baby’s head presses against the mother’s sciatic nerves, which run down the spine and into the pelvis and upper leg area. It can occur at any point during a normal pregnancy, but it is most common during the second and third trimester, when the baby is larger and in a lower position in the abdomen.

Women with sciatica often experience shooting pains or paralyzing numbness in the lower back or buttocks area and sometimes down the backs of the thighs. The pain can be severe enough to limit a person’s mobility almost entirely, and because it is caused by the position of the baby inside the womb, there’s very little that can be done to relieve the situation entirely until the baby is born.” (Source: Babyzone.com)

Oh yes, I remember sciatica like it was yesterday.

At first, I scoffed at pain relief. I have a fairly high tolerance for discomfort (I’ve stood in a Costco lineup behind my ex-boyfriend’s current wife), and in the case of topical creams, could not wrap my head around how something in a tube could possibly take away my misery. But then the pregnancy waned on, and my pain intensified. Finally, I woke up one morning hell bent on doing just one thing: easing the discomfort so I could get on with my day. Because I had a life to live, and I certainly didn’t want to live it doubled over in agony.

Of course, when selecting a topical therapy, it’s important to ensure that you select the correct one. LivRelief is powered by delivra which absorbs deeply into the skin, allowing the pain relief to start working on the spot. LivRelief topical creams are able to deliver large, water-soluable and fat-soluable relief agents. And in the case of pain relief, LivRelief Pain Relief Cream uses the active ingredient RUTIN for joint pain due to inflammation, which results in:

– Up to 75% reduction in pain with consistent use
– 65% increase in mobility
– 59% improvement in quality of life

Haven’t heard of LivRelief? LivRelief products are made from natural ingredients and do not contain Parabens, SLS, or menthol. With medication delivered directly through the skin, topical creams avoid such side effects as gastritis, dizziness, and cardiovascular, liver and kidney-related issues. And, LivRelief happens to be endorsed by NHL Hall of Famer Bobby Orr. I’m sure he knows a thing or two about pain!

I’d love to present the following products as great gift ideas for every pregnant gal you know. Trust me, had I been gifted with a basket of LivRelief products when I was expecting, I certainly would have put them to good use (especially after childbirth for those pesky varicose veins):

LivRelief Pain Relief Cream

LivRelief Extra Strength Nerve Pain Relief Cream

Pain – especially nerve pain – can have a profound impact on your life. Featuring the clinically proven efficacy of Delivra to transport active ingredient Capsicum (from Cayenne) directly through the skin, LivRelief Extra Strength Nerve Pain Relief Cream targets the source of stabbing, shocking and numbing pains caused by nerve damage, trigeminal neuralgia, sciatica, shingles, diabetic neuropathies, burning sensations, fibromyalgia, and ulcers. LivRelief Nerve Pain Relief Cream provides fast and consistent relief from the agony of nerve pain and allows you to regain control over the life you wish to live.  If you are one of the thousands of nerve pain sufferers, you know that gambling on relief is not a safe bet. Seriously, my daughter is pregnant and she had the sciatic issue with Mayson, so I will for sure look into this, never hurts to be prepared! Thanks again beautiful you!.

I have fibromyalgia so I use pain relief creams regularly. I have seen this on the shelves and wondered about trying it. Now that I have read your post and found out that LivRelief is made of natural ingredients, I am going to seek it out!

    • Lena

      November 16, 2013 at 11:01 am

I know very little about fibromyalgia except the fact that pain is a central part of the condition. I hope the LivRelief products help you find relief. Good luck Heidi!

    • Lena

Right?? I’m trying to help out current (and future) sciatica sufferers!

  14. Christy Martin

    November 15, 2013 at 8:32 am

I’ve never thought of using a topical cream for sciatica because I just couldn’t see how it would possibly reach deep enough. My problems stem from sitting for extended periods of time, which I do on a daily basis (computer). Any sort of relief would be welcom! I will definintly give LivRelief a try!

    • Lena

      November 16, 2013 at 11:07 am

You sound exactly like me during my pregnancy. Topical creams just didn’t make sense! Until I tried one. They really do work!

  15. Lisa Neutel

Boy, I sure could have used the pain relief one yesterday… put a kink in my neck. I haven’t had the chance to get to the store to get it yet… I guess that was a sign to get my little buns in gear ;)

    • Lena

      November 16, 2013 at 11:10 am

Oh, kinks in the neck are the WORST, especially if you have to drive! It makes checking your blind spot horrible :(

  17. Victoria Ess

    November 16, 2013 at 10:36 am

I use topical pain relief pretty regularly, as I carry a lot of stress and tension in my back and shoulders. Hadn’t heard of Liv Relief before, but I will keep an eye out!

    • Lena

      November 16, 2013 at 11:10 am

I have meralgia parasthetica (basically a severely pinched nerve in my thigh) and after using this cream a few times my pain has lessened by 50%, I can’t even explain how happy I am that I found liv relief.

I think that I should have used liv relief rather than Voltaren extra strength. I believe that I am slowly dying from the toxicity of this ointment (Voltaren).

A chiropractor recommended LivRelief for my husbands sciatica pain. His pain starts at the buttock area and goes down his leg. Should he put the cream where the pain starts or the whole path of the pain.
