The Monday Covet List

September 30, 2013 By Lena

Another Monday, another Covet List!

(A little background: Since I’ve decided that coveting is infinitely more agreeable than reckless spending, I was thrilled to be approached by Nadia Carriere of Child Mode to participate in the Monday Covet List. Together with some of my favorite fashion and style bloggers, Nicole Feliciano of Mom Trends, Vera Sweeney of Lady and the Blog and Audrey McClelland of Mom Generations, we’ll share 3-4 covet-worthy products that we are currently lusting over.)

Of course, I’ve realized that coming up with a covet list is way too easy because I tend to covet things all the time. This week, I’ve got the following gorgeous pieces on my mind (and perhaps favourited on my browser)…

Why covet fashion when you can covet cake? This week, I’m satisfying my style sense – and my sweet tooth! – with these stunning Custom Special Occasion cakes from Toronto-based Bobbette & Belle.

“Bobbette & Belle’s artisanal pastry shop is located in the heart of Leslieville in Toronto, Canada. The open and airy 3000 square foot space features a wide selection of our fresh baked, home-style, and high end pastries. Everything is baked from scratch, using only the finest ingredients including Lindt chocolate, Boiron fruit purees imported from France, and Nielsen-Massey’s pure Madagascar vanilla.”

“For those looking for an entirely one-of-a-kind special occasion cake, Bobbette & Belle offers a personalized design experience culminating in a work of confectionary art unlike any other. Let us create a cake that reflects everything you wish your special occasion to be: a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a shower or an unforgettable gathering of friends and family. No matter what the occasion, we are excited about working with you to create a stunning and unique cake to celebrate your special day.”

Okay, I thought that I’d feel better after indulging with my eyes – rather than my wallet. But now, I’ve got a full on craving for Bobbette & Belle’s famous homemade hot chocolate and toasted marshmallow. If you’re in the Toronto area, do pop in for a sweet indulgence.

Wow, they’re so well done! I am impressed.
Boiron’s passion fruit puree is so good. It makes the best flavouring for macaroon filling.
