I Didn’t See That One Coming.

September 21, 2013 By Lena

This is Bar Refaeli. She is a Victoria Secret model, a Sports Illustrated cover girl, and has been featured in countless designer campaigns, in addition to walking a runway or two (or two hundred). And this is her latest campaign; stylish, trendy and tailored clothing, with an easy style and casual flair.

Think she’s modelling outfits for a stuffy American fashion designer? Think again.

“Sears is raising the bar on stylish and casual fall fashion with the launch of the new Nevada line for fall 2013. Designed by the Buffalo Group, one of the world’s most renowned denim brands, this newly designed Nevada line is the ultimate expression of casual sophistication, and features celebrity model Bar Refaeli.”

It’s true! When I first saw the images I was sure she was modelling fashions for a Hilfiger-esque designer, so you could have knocked me over with a feather when I realized I could find these items at Sears. At ridiculously good prices. I’ve got my eye on the Mia Coloured Skinny Denim Pant (on sale for $27.99), Laurel Chambray Shirt (on sale for $27.99) and the Blondie Printed Blouse (on sale for $24.49). Bar Refaeli for Nevada? I didn’t see that one coming… but, it’s a wonderful surprise nonetheless!

Hmmm… I don’t usually associate Sears with fashion. I always think of the Sears catalogue with styles that seniors love :) The pictures you posted look pretty good!

Totally guilty of feeling the same way – so I’m ecstatic to be proven wrong :)

I loved it! When Sears’ glossy flyer arrived a couple of weeks ago, I thought – Wow, Sears has really stepped up their game! I like the Blondie Printed blouse too!

I found a couple of items at Sears last week. I have not gone in awhile because I never have much luck there. I guess I will be going back.

Please do check it out Florence. The collection should be at most stores across Canada now, and I love the great prices.

we have the smallest sears I have ever seen in Cobourg, not sure if we will even see those fashions here but they do have great sales on bedding at this store.

It’s always frustrating when some markets don’t receive all the featured items. If you’re in store, pop into the womenswear and check it out.

I had noticed Sears was getting more fashion forward with their “Together” line-up, but they were made for super-skinny people (at that time I was about 50 lbs heavier than I am now). Glad they are expanding their lines and making their prices more reasonable – guess I have to check them out again ;)

Definitely think it’s worth popping by, Flora – and congratulations on the weight loss!

Whoa. I may have to reconsider shopping at Sears, or department stores altogether. Loving that leather vest, what she styled (or her stylist) with it, just goes so great together. Man. Love it.
