Last week, I shared with y’all highlights from my much-anticipated Stain Party. We ate, we drank, we got messy.
Well, as you know, stains happen. Robin had a close encounter with chocolate sauce; Diana was a tad overzealous with ranch dressing, and Sara? Let’s just say she ended up wearing some of the nachos. But since it was a stain party, and I happened to have Clorox2 at my disposal, I did what any good hostess does; I whisked away my guests’ soiled clothing and pre-treated the stains directly with Clorox2 Stain Fighter and Colour Booster Liquid. The liquid works hard to lift stains and contains brighteners to give colours a boost. It is designed to be safe for all loads – so you can add it to every load with your detergent for cleaner and brighter clothes.
So what happens if you can’t take the shirt off your back – literally? Well, just be sure to pre-treat your stains at your first opportunity. Because the longer a stain lingers, the harder it is to get out. (Trust me, after having two little boys, I know this from experience.) Fortunately, I pre-treated the stains with Clorox2 before they had a chance to settle in, and since I’ve now had experience with the product and have learned to trust its stain lifting power, I had nothing but the highest expectations for the outcome.
I was not disappointed. Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on these ULTRA BRIGHT, ULTRA VIVID, and most importantly, STAIN-FREE tank tops!
Now this may sound strange… and trust me, your eyes are not deceiving you… the colours of the tops are actually more intense after putting them through the wash. That’s because Clorox2 brighteners have been hard at work – giving colours a boost. And although these tops have only been washed once, I can attest that my boys’ summer clothing, which has been washed time after time (after time) over the past few months, is just as bright and vivid as when the season began. It’s quite impressive!
Of course, while I always encourage my followers to try Clorox2 products, it’s just one of the tips I’ve been sharing all summer. If you’ve been following my #StainMasterMom tweets, you’ll know that I regularly dole out laundry tips and advice. And for those readers who missed the Twitter conversation, here are some of those very useful nuggets of wisdom – write them down!
I’ll be back next week to share feedback from the lucky readers who received the entire line of Clorox2 products to rate and review. In the meantime, do you have an awesome laundry tip you’d like to share? Leave a comment (and your Twitter handle, if you have one) – I’ll be tweeting out reader laundry tips all next week!
Thanks for those laundry tips Lena. I swear they all apply to me. Lol. Stain is my enemy and I will be picking up the Clorox2 Stain Fighter to pre-treat. I do have to get into the habit of pre-treating at the first opportunity.
I think that’s key, Tricha – knowing that we have to pre-treat right away vs. leaving it for later. I’ve been lazy and have forgotten, and I can see a huge difference from when I remember to do it before the stain has settled.
Looks like it worked great! Can’t wait to try it!
Awesome! Can’t wait to hear what you think!
No, I have no laundry tips lol I am a laundry dummy actually! I’ve created so many lovely pink undies, socks and other items that my kids basically took over for me when they were living here. Now my husband just takes his chances and does alot of it himself!
This product looks great though!
Oh no! LOL. Well, give the product a try! It may help you in the laundry room :)
I did not know that if dryer is collecting to much lint it may be from too much soap, poor dogs and I blame it on them lol. a tip for laundry # get someone else to do it haha
Hahaha I should have included that tip! That would be a dream :)
I did not know that about too much soap
Indeed! Try scaling back on the soap – you may see a huge difference!
Love some of your tips – I had to laugh at the odd sock basket one though – those odd socks never seemed to find their mates – so after waiting a month or 2 I would just go through the basket and pick out the “sock puppet” worthy ones and the rest were relegated to being dusting/cleaning socks. I put them on my hands to dust my nik-naks (china figurines etc) .
And I always turns my “sayings” t-shirts inside out before washing them :o)
Ah,,, sock puppets from runaway socks… love it!
I love your laundry tips Lena and am so impressed with the stain results from the Clorox test. You might be soley responsible from taking me from stain slave to laundry goddess .BTW Love your blog :)
Thank you Jax! And I love that – being a laundry goddess is a good thing :)
thanks for all the tips!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
You’re welcome Suzana!
I love their facial expressions haha! I’m impressed with the results. Pre-treating stains is definitely key.
So true. I’ve always been lazy about it, but I’m glad I changed my tune…
The Clorox spray works so well. I have two little girls and both of their Sunday dresses are white. And I’m so proud to say that the dresses lasted nicely all summer long just because of it.
That is SO wonderful to hear Nicoline! Thanks so much for the awesome feedback!
Received my box of Clorox2 products, now to find some stains :)
Have fun doing laundry Judy!
I have to try this. Most of my stains come from when I’m cooking. The phrase “You’re suppose to eat that, not wear it” is often heard around here.
Hahaha too funny! Well, definitely give it a try!
Sounds like a fun party, and a tasty one too! I get stressed trying to get stains out! And tired of trying products that never really work that great! I will be picking up a bottle of Clorox stain fighter and color booster on my next shopping trip!
Thanks for the laundry tips too!
I love using Clorox, never had problem with it and it has never let me down
So wonderful to hear Lynda!
