Public Service Announcement: Hot Toys Ahead

It’s rare that I make Public Service Announcements (PSAs), but sometimes, a girl’s just gotta tell it like it is.

So here’s the deal: in the past few weeks, I’ve posted reviews for super popular toys and shared information about new toy characters. And then it occurred to me: this is only scratching the surface. Because as a Fisher-Price Mom, I tend to go through their lineup of toys from time to time. Okay, obsessively. And you know what? They’ve got a TON of new toys available that really, y’all should know about. Toys that your kiddos will recognize from popular television shows. Toys that mimic real-life and encourage pretend play.

Hence, my PSA.

Hear ye, hear ye! The following toys are just a sampling of the amazing new products available from Fisher-Price:

Mike the Knight Glendragon Castle Playset

Full of adventure and excitement, Glendragon Castle is home to Mike the Knight. Now kids can help their favourite knight-in-training, Mike, protect the Kingdom of Glendragon and be the best knight he can be! With surprises around every corner, the Glendragon Castle playset features three levels of two-sided play. Flip Mike’s bed to reveal his armor and a secret chute leading down to his trusty horse, Galahad, just like the show! Use the ladder to access the second level, where Evie’s Potion Room contains a revolving door that spins to the outside of the castle. Mike can also slide down the included zip line, open the drawbridge, and begin his next knightly quest! For even more excitement, kids can press the red shield on the inside of the castle wall to lower the drawbridge and hear over 20 sounds and phrases.

Octonauts Octopod Playset

Sound the Octo-Alert! It’s time for Barnacles and Kwazii to set off on a new mission! Send the figures sliding down from the pods and into the Launch Bay where they can report for duty and ready the Gup-A for their rescue mission! Place Kwazii or Barnacles inside the Gup and turn the lever to launch the vehicle down the escape hatch and out of the Octopod! Lift and lower the rescue tools to bring creatures back to safety.

The Octopod includes over 10 play pieces including: Removable Octo-Alert plays phrases and sounds; Launch the Gup-A out of the Octopod; Lift and lower the rescue tools to bring the sick creatures back to the Octopod; Includes Octopod, Barnacles, Kwazii, mini Gup-A, removable Octo-Alert, fiddler crab, sea turtle, stretcher, anchor, barrel and net.

Little People Disney Ariel’s Castle

If your little princess loves Disney’s “Little Mermaid” movie, she’ll be overjoyed with Ariel’s Castle by Fisher-Price! Little People Ariel and Flounder will be there to greet her, and she’ll also see Sebastian on top of the treasure chest, which activates music and sounds! There’s a balcony and grotto with a slide where Ariel and her friends play, a carriage pulled by seahorses (of course!) and a shell bed for Ariel. Spin the wall in her room, and the scenery changes to a tearoom with chairs for Flounder and Ariel to have a tea party!

Bubble Guppies Rock & Roll Stage

Get Ready to be a Rock Star with the Bubble Guppies’ Rock and Roll Show! It’s time for Molly’s big performance on the Bubble Guppies stage. Roll her down the ramp and onto the stage to hear phrases, sounds, and a signature song from the Bubble Guppies television show.

Are You Ready to Rock? When the star doors open, Molly rolls down the ramp to make her grand entrance. When she rolls onto center stage, the music starts and the stage lights up. Press the stage button again for more lights, sounds, and a song from the television show. This super-star stage comes with a rolling Molly figure and three play pieces—drum set, microphone for Molly and a rock lobster! Jake and the Never Land Pirates Musical Pirate Ship 

Jake’s musical pirate ship, Bucky, sets sail straight from Never Land to your living room! Bucky is fully equipped to battle Hook and his crew to defend Jake’s treasure. The crow’s nest lets Jake spot Hook on the water, and the spring-loaded canon fires water-ball projectiles. The Tick Tock Croc hides behind a hidden trap door. Bucky is packed with 25 action phrases and songs. Ready for a new adventure? Roll Bucky on its wheels and set sail, rocking side to side! Bucky comes with Jake and Skully figures and three water-ball projectiles. (Not intended for use in water.)

The ship’s realistic rolling action adds to the excitement, causing Bucky to rock from side to side while Jake flies around the crow’s nest. You can even download the code on the front of the box to your smartphone for more fun adventures with Jack and the Never Land Crew!

Minnie Mouse Bowtique Pampering Pets Salon

Minnie Mouse loves her pets, and she’s ready to treat them to a fabulous day at the Pampering Pets Salon! With lights, sounds, adorable play pieces, and a variety of fantastic features, this playset delivers a truly magical salon experience! Set up all of your animals in the pet parlor for fun play time; take care of your animals by washing them in the fold down wash basin. Have your animals lay on either the pet fur drier chair after their wash or any of the 2 pet beds; Minnie will greet all of her customers when she stands at the parlor’s counter!

Actions include: revolving closet, pop-up roof, light-up mirror and rotating “pet-wash”. Heart-shaped buttons activate three songs, plus a variety of sounds and phrases. Comes with 13 play pieces, including Minnie and her pets!
