If there’s one thing I’m frequently complimented on, it’s the fact that I like to take chances and wear bright colours. Never one to be afraid of standing out, I love the fiery burst of energy when I wear orange; the spunky feeling of pop-pretty pink, the crispness of green apple, and the moodiness of a vibrant purple. In short, colour defines both my fashion sense – and my outlook!
Alas, I was not destined to pass on my keen eye for colour to a little fashionista – instead, I’ve been blessed with two boys who adore living out loud and wearing clothes to match. However, I’ll let you in on a little secret.
In the past, I’ve been hesitant to purchase brightly coloured clothing for my kids for one main reason: children’s clothing is washed A LOT, and this leads to faded, washed-out looking clothes. And one of my biggest pet peeves is a red that starts to look cranberry, or a purple that errs to the side of lavender. Often, the clothes would lose their vibrancy after just one wash, making me wonder if an all-beige wardrobe really was the way to go.
That is, until I discovered Clorox2 Stain Fighter and Colour Booster Liquid. Clorox2 Stain Fighter & Colour Booster is specifically formulated to work better on tough stains and keep your clothes bright. The liquid is specially formulated to lift stains and contains brighteners to give colours a boost. It is designed to be safe for all loads – so you can add it to every load with your detergent for cleaner and brighter clothes.
So there are two things I’d love to underscore here. First, go on! Let your kids get dirty. Let them go on a Stain Adventure; let them spill juice, eat food with their hands, and play in the wet grass. Clorox2 Stain Fighter & Colour Booster Liquid is better at removing tough stains vs. the leading detergent alone.
Second, don’t be afraid of a little colour. Because while Clorox2 is working to lift those adventurous stains, it’s also brightening your colours and making them more vibrant, freshened, and newer-looking.
After the first few uses with Clorox2 Stain Fighter & Colour Booster Liquid, I couldn’t believe the difference it made in the overall look and feel of my sons’ clothing. Wash after wash, the items resisted fading and kept their intensity – even clothes with patterns, pictures and mixed textures. I honestly feel a little foolish that I didn’t try it sooner; I could have salvaged so many of their favourite items that I’ve now set aside as “home clothes”. Still, that’s my job as the Stain Master Mom – to tell you all about this amazing product, so you too can experience the difference for yourself!
Since I know a picture (or pictures, in this case) is worth a thousand words, I’d love to share some photos of the boys from our recent trip to Walt Disney World. You should know:
a) 99% of the time, they were wearing clothes that they already owned – ones that had been washed multiple times with Clorox2 Stain Fighter & Colour Booster Liquid to help treat stains and improve colours.
b) Little boys rarely sit still for a photograph. This is all I got.
As you can see, “black, white and beige” are just not in my boys’ style vocabulary. Thankfully for me, I now know the secret to keeping colours their brightest!
Have you entered my giveaway to win a Clorox2 Prize Pack, valued at over $150? I can’t think of a better introduction to all the amazing products Clorox2 has to offer! Good luck all!
Unlike you and your family, my wardrobe is 95% made up of shades of white, grey and black! But while I don’t share your affinity for color, I do share your pet peeve of seeing the colours of that 5% start to fade (or my blacks becoming ‘less black’…). I don’t really have the need for a detergent that’s tough on stains, but it’s great that Clorox has a product that fights stains AND saves color!
I used to wear a lot of black myself, but the fading factor made me run to pastels! I can’t believe the difference in the quality of our colours since we started using Clorox2. You must try it!
I have indeed entered your giveaway and your family is so bright and cheerful in all of their colours! Our family also loves colour; all of them lol
Wonderful to hear, Anne! Good luck!
I have 3 “fashionista” granddaughters who LOVE colour – one is “in training” as she won’t be 2 until October. The middle one (just turned 4) loves everything pink and is VERY picky about what she is going to wear, and the oldest one (just turned 12) is blonde and loves all the same bright colours that you do (except for yellow, she “detests” yellow LOL).
I think it is time I picked up a bottle (or three) of the Clorox2 Stainfighter and Colour Booster for my daughter and son-in-law !!
Your boys look so adorable, glad you were able to at least catch them at a standstill for these ones :o)
Aw, thanks so much for sharing, Flora! I’m sure your granddaughters are just the cutest little girls! Love that they’re budding fashionistas – and yes, please do try Clorox2 – they’ll keep their colourful clothes at their brightest!
It doesn’t matter what I use in my truly heinous machine, it doesn’t get anything clean. It has an agitator that barley moves. I hate this machine with every fiber of my being and ever time I use it hope it breaks.
:( Debbie! I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully a new one will be in the cards for you soon!
I love Clorox2 Stain Fighter and Colour Booster Liquid!!! Great pictures!
Awesome to hear! And thank you!
I always ad Clorox2Stain Fighter and Colour Booster to my colours when I do laundry. I like to preserve and protect my family’s clothes because with 4 kids, I already spend enough on clothing!
Hahaha I can certainly appreciate that! And so happy to hear that you’ve been using the product, and love it!
I use the Clorox stain spray all the time. I didn’t know they had a big bottle. I am definitely going to check this out because the spray works so well.
Nice! Your clothes will thank you, I promise!
I love Clorox2Stain Fighter but have never tried the Colour Booster. As my wardrobe is mostly colourful, I think the Colour Booster Liquid is worth a try. Thanks for the tip Lena and your boys look so cute in their colourful outfits.
Please do try is Marissa – it is a fabulous product!
I love brights too – fushia, turquoise and red are some of my favs. Thanks for the product info!
My pleasure Lisa – and I adore fuchsia and turquoise too!
My 5 year old daughter’s favorite colorus are pink and orange! A colour booster is a great idea. So many of her clothes have that well worn fade. Do you think it boosts back the colour once its already been lost?
Hmmm… I don’t think it can completely boost back… but since even the faded colour will appear to brighten up, it will help a bit just the same!
Those are some lovely photos
Thank you!
An adorable picture of your 3 little men :) You must be so proud! I haven’t used Clorox2 before but I am going to pick a bottle up on my next shopping trip (In 20 minutes). I have a beautiful bedspread that has a difficult stain to remove (I have tried). Sara says it is chocolate but I don’t recall having any!!
