In just a few short hours, I’ll be co-hosting an intimate event with Anne Parks, Director of Menu Management, at a McDonald’s restaurant in Toronto. We’ll have a picnic-style lunch, chat menu inspiration and sample the NEW Signature McWrap. And best of all… I’ll have a chance to meet a few of my fabulous readers! It’s always so awesome to meet y’all in person – especially while devouring a tasty McWrap!
Now just in case you’ve been wondering how Anne adapts McDonald’s recipes to suit Canadian preferences and tastes, she chats about her role, and her day-to-day inspiration, in this neat little video:
And of course, we’ll continue the conversation this afternoon. If you’re on Twitter, be sure to follow the #SavourtheFlavour hashtag, where I’ll be sharing photos, highlights from the afternoon, and of course, all the juicy tidbits about the NEW Signature McWrap. Until then, have a great day!
cool video!
Anne Parks is EPIC. Love her!
I always prefered a McDs snack wrap to a burger so now Im thrilled they have this larger sized wrap!
Lisa, without a word of lie… it’s HUGE! Snack wrap it’s not… more like full course meal!
I had the Sweet Chili one on the weekend and I agree. Hubby had to finish it off for me! Maybe the Vanilla chai frappe I had with it was filling me up too :p
I will have to check back in with the blog later this afternoon (don’t have twitter)… I am interested to hear your verdict ;) Plus next time I am out I am going to try these new wraps ;)
Flora, my verdict is… two thumbs way up! I recommend the Sweet Chili with Crispy Chicken :)
Wish I could have attended – sounds like a fun day!
We had a blast – thanks Heidi!
so disappointed i missed it!
It’s all good! Next time!
Anne is just as sweet in person! Thank you Lena for the experience!
Isn’t she? Thank you so much for sharing the experience with us – it was great to see you!
I have still yet to try them! They look great – very cool video too!
Indeed! Please tell me what you think Jenny!
That’s so exciting! Darn, I wish I had been around for the twitter chat! I was talking to my partner about the McWrap after reading your previous post, which led to reminiscing about menu options that were around when we were kids. I would have asked Anne to consider one day bringing back those delicious mini pizzas from circa the 1980s.
Would you believe – asking about the pizza is the universally most popular question? Alas, it came down to timing – “Unfortunately, the 11 minute prep time was long and impacted our service times too much to keep it on the menu.”
Thanks for the answer!
My pleasure – I asked, too!
I’ve tried the Sweet Chili with Crispy Chicken wrap and its awesome and huge too. Also, its reasonably priced.
Thanks for the feedback Marissa! Happy you like it!
I love wraps, will have to try this out for sure!!
Please do Debbie, they are delish!
being type 2 diabetic I love wraps instead of big buns
That’s a great point, Linda! And since these are whole wheat, they further cut down on the simple carbs. Enjoy!
I tried the fiesta one (grilled chicken) – YUMMY !!! They are GINORMOUS !!! I was going to get one of each (thinking they were the same size as the old wraps) and the girl at the counter said they were really big and maybe I should just start with one LOL Glad she did ;)
Haha! Glad you took her advice – these are definitely NOT the same thing as snack wraps! Thanks for the feedback!
Today I tried a bite of a friend’s Sweet Chili wrap (not my cup of tea) – I had the Chicken and Bacon one and loved it :o)
Success! Happy you love them as much as I do!
i tried the chicken baccon one and the fiesta one (both with no lettuce lol) i liked them both.
:) Thanks for letting us know, francine!
Love wraps so will definitely be trying one of these out next time we stopped at McDonald’s!
Please do Judy!
I love the Mc Wrap because they’re a much healthier option than the rest of the menu but they’re also really delicious
