Last month, I shared a teaser of Fisher-Price’s NEW A Million Moments of Joy campaign with my post entitled OVERconfident. In it, I chronicled those foolish little assumptions that new moms often make – and invited readers to share their own “OVER” moments.
This month, my inspiration comes from a Facebook photo that I posted on Sunday morning.
Caption: Just had the most glorious sleep! Alone in my big bed; no little feet kicking my ribs, no tiny hands on my face. Today is dedicated to my awesome husband, whose current sleeping arrangement is this:
As only parents will tell you – OVERnight takes on a whole new meaning once you’ve had children. OVERnight can include screams, cries and padded feet across the hallway. Wet beds, dry coughs and hollers of I’m thirsty! Tooth fairies, closet monsters and kicks in the back while you co-sleep. Midnight feedings, bedtime stories and resisting the urge to take their temperature just one more time.
And once in a blue moon, on nights like the one above, OVERnight means a restful sleep. (For me, anyways.)
You too can share your “OVER” moments by uploading a photo and caption during Fisher-Price’s A Million Moments of Joy campaign. Parents who share their moments will be entered for a chance to win a weekly prize packs (valued at ~$200), including:
- My Little Snugabunny Bouncer ($89.99 CAD)
- Laugh & Learn Dance & Play Puppy ($59.99 CAD)
- Ocean Wonders Aquarium ($54.99 CAD)
The contest will run from March 5, 2013 to April 19th, 2013. Tell me, what is your “OVER” moment this month?

Adorable, great OVER photo Lena!
Thank you Tammi!
Your boys are so beautiful! All 3 of them…the picture is priceless.
Aw, thank you Teresa – I love the photo too.
awwwwww beautiful family! you are so blessed :)
I am, indeed! Thank you Sarah!
Awwww! That photo is wonderful :-) I couldn’t help but smile ear to ear seeing it! You have yourself a pretty amazing hubby
He is, honestly I take him for granted. He never complains when he needs to go sleep with one of the boys (or both) of the boys.
My 4 month old learned to roll over – I was Overjoyed – and my 3 year old is attending preschool and this mama bear was slightly Overprotective!
Those are two sweet, sweet reasons to be OVER the moon, Alisha!
The comforts of Love!
Hahaha I think my husband would put “comfort” in quotes!
I was very happy to babysit my grandson the other week. He was so adorable when he was sleeping in his bouncy chair. I would upload a picture but there isn’t anywhere to upload.
Hi Cheryl! The link is in my post – http://www.fisher-price.com/en_CA/MomentsOfJoy/index.html – have fun! Would love to see that picture!
One big happy family…life doesn’t get any better than this!
Hear, hear! Thanks Lee!
Ohhhh look at the sweet men in your life :)
They are very sweet! Thanks Victoria!
adorable
Thanks Debbie :)
Great picture..our daughter still typically crawls in with us but our son is getting older and says it is too hot sleeping with someone else.
The boys do get a little hot, but they don’t mind at all!
Such a great photo of your boys!
Thank you Sophia!
All about the love.
It IS. That’s what everything comes down to!
Such a cute picture!! Nothing more comfier than snuggling all night with your babies!
It’s true Nathania! My little guy loves spooning – it’s irresistible!
Aww, so sweet! I get a good chuckle when I hear pregnant women say “I can’t wait until this baby is born so I can get comfortable again and have a good sleep!”. Oh…they will learn soon enough that once that adorable little baby arrives, it will be a LONG time before you have a restful sleep!
So true! In fact, sometimes I fantasize about the sleep filled nights I had before kids – and wish I could go back there again for just one night!
Cute picture! We let our first son sleep with us..after my boyfriend insisted letting him nap with us in the bed. I knew he’d end up liking it and wanting to sleep with us all the time. But I gave in and he slept with us (or mostly me and the bf would sleep on the couch most nights so he’d get a better sleep) for over 18 months. With my second son I decided I wanted to have the bed to ourselves again and would only bring him in the bed so I could breastfeed then he went back in his crib which was beside our bed. Best decision..he was so easy to transition to just putting him in the crib to go to sleep on his own. We had struggles with the first with that. Definitely going to do the same with our third son due end of June. I enjoy snuggles from my kids but I also enjoy (and missed) snuggles and cuddles from my bf at night..and I have had much better sleeps with no kids in the bed.
I hear you with the better sleeps with NO kids! Good thing you trained the second from the start – wish I had done that :)
Great photo to look back on when the boys are older. I can’t believe your hubby can actually sleep with Ryder on top of him like that – good for him.
Hahaha lucky that my husband can sleep through ANYTHING.
