There are some celebrity endorsements I get – and some I don’t necessarily understand. Do I believe that Justin Bieber uses Proactiv? Sure! Now there’s one less pimply teenager. Britney Spears drinks Pepsi? Of course she does. After she walks barefoot into gas station restrooms.
But… Jennifer Lopez for Féria? Not on your life. I’m quite confident that no boxed hair colour has ever touched a strand of her hair – not since she left the block, that is.
So let’s just say that I was slightly skeptical when introduced to Heidi Klum’s newest endorsement – CLEAR Scalp & Hair Therapy beauty products. A supermodel… standing behind a drug store brand? Could I possibly believe that her gorgeous, perfectly coiffed hair is a result of a mass marketed beauty product… retailing for $4.99 each?
The Claim: CLEAR Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy is a nourishing hair care line, with Nutrium 10, a rich blend of vitamins and nutrients. CLEAR feeds your scalp and gives you stronger, more beautiful hair in 7 days. Use CLEAR shampoo and conditioner for 1 week and it’s guaranteed you’ll get stronger, more beautiful hair – or your money back.
I’ll admit, I was intrigued. After being introduced to the line at Unilever Canada’s Be Groomed Be Gorgeous event back in November, I immediately liked three things: a) the science behind the formula, b) the luscious fragrance and c) Heidi Klum. Yes, I was swayed by the celebrity endorsement.
So when this ->> showed up on my doorstep two weeks ago, I was quite thrilled to put the hair care system to the test. Of course, not every day does a personalized hair care product make its way to me (brilliant touch, Unilever!), so I was also quite flattered to be one of the first beauty junkies in Canada to test drive the product.
The first thing I noticed about the formula is that contrary to popular belief, the products are not actually CLEAR. But that’s okay – the lack of continuity with the brand name was instantly forgiven thanks to the AH-MA-ZING fragrance. If you’re sensitive to bold scents, this may not be the right hair care system for you. Me? I was in seventh heaven.
The set I received was for Damage & Colour Repair; the proven colour-safe formula is “enriched with Nutrium 10, an advanced moisture complex of vitamins and nutrients that offers advanced protection.” Ahem. Someone must have received the memo that my hair is over-processed, over-stressed and over-worked. Without a word of lie, it needed a little TLC – and quick.
<<- See this photo? Taken in December 2012… AFTER I chopped 6 inches off my hair in a desperate attempt to reclaim some of its health. The problem is that (wait for it) I am not a natural blonde (shocking, right?) and my hair is subjected to copious amounts of bleach to get me there. And, after heat styling with a professional strength hair dryer and combing through the ends with a flat iron, you can see the frizzy, damaged mess that was left behind. For “newly” shorn locks this is a tragedy! If I have one pet peeve, it is that my ends always look fried and well, unhappy.
But what to do? I wasn’t willing to go back to dark hair, and my weak, brittle hair was revealing years of abuse. For the first time in a long time, I was truly worried about the state of my locks.
So, I began the CLEAR 7-Day Scalp & Hair Challenge.
Now the challenge actually took nine days, as I prefer not to wash my hair every day. But after the third or fourth wash, I started seeing a noticeable difference in the feel, look and texture of my hair. It was much shinier, felt somewhat healthier and the breakage was pretty much NIL. Honestly, even Jerry Seinfeld would approve the zero strands of hair left behind on my brush! After years of fighting damage – with heat, which starts the breakage cycle all over again – I was finally seeing results. And how.
But I suppose I didn’t realize just how amazing the results were until the past weekend: while waiting for my husband to put the finishing touches on shoveling the driveway, he suddenly looked over and raised his phone to take a picture.
“Why are you doing that?” I asked, borderline annoyed.
“Your hair just looks really nice,” he answered. “Say cheese!”
I smirked, trying to act nonchalant, but inside I was truly impressed. I knew my hair was stronger, shinier and more manageable – but now my husband was noticing? Enough to want to take a picture of his lovely wife? That’s pretty awesome. And you can see for yourself… ->>
My ends are more tame, no frizzies or flyaways, and the highlights flow beautifully now that my hair has more depth. I really should have pulled my hair out from under my sweater, but as you can see from my expression, I wasn’t exactly welcoming the photo at the time. Still, you can’t deny the improvement in my hair’s overall smoothness – I’m quite enjoying my newly rejuvenated locks!
So, I guess you can say I took the CLEAR 7-Day Scalp & Hair Challenge… and I am a believer. Heidi Klum, I get it. And I will never doubt you again.
***UPDATE***
20 readers have been chosen to take the challenge. Thanks to everyone for your interest!
Want to take the challenge for yourself? I’m pleased to offer twenty (20) Canadian readers the chance to review the products for themselves. If you’re interested in trying the system, simply leave me a comment below telling me why your hair needs an intervention. I’ll randomly draw for 20 lucky winners on February 24th, 2013. In the meantime, best tresses to you!
Two words: Alberta winters. My hair is so dry right now. I’m trying to grow it out but am not sure I’ll keep much of this length. Darn.
Oh god Lena my hair is so thin and dry and damaged…it needs help!
Curly hair plus regular colouring and swimming for exercise = dry, dry, dry hair! If the system is that amazing it would be great to try! What are the active ingredients that make it so effective?
I would love to try this because everyday has been a bad hair day for me, forcing me to have to straighten it with a flat iron every morning. Heat protectant usually just weighs my hair down so I forgo that as well… making straightening my hair even worst but I can’t help it!
I was in the same cycle of damage, Jenny! CLEAR has really helped me.
Very interesting! I will have to look into this product – I also color, blowdry and straighten my hair! It could use a little help :-)
Aw that’s so sweet of your husband! And your hair really does look great in that picture (although it always seems to look fantastic)!
Thank you Victoria! I suppose the main difference is that I spent A LOT of time on my hair in the first picture and that’s the best I could do; whereas I spent no time in the second one and I had a better hair day!!
My hair & scalp is in need of something to give it some TLC. This time of year I cannot seem to find any shampoo that gives me a good clean and the moisture my scalp needs. I have turned into a dried out frizz ball…..help!
I have wavy thin hair that I straighten everyday that sure could use some help. I am a regualre on haircuts, highlights and low lights but still can’t get that beautiful hair salon look on my own.I am longing for that healthy shiney hair that you are suppose to have while pregnant.
I think we have the exact same hair texture, emma :) My hair was glorious during my second pregnancy… before it all fell out in clumps when baby arrived!
My hair has gotten so dry this winter and as a result has become pretty unmanageable. It looks and feels like straw. I’d love to see if it can be helped before I cut it off.
Thin breakable hair is me
i would love to try something that could make my hair feel and look beautiful
My hair is very very dry and definitely needs some help. Many years of coloring have left it very strawlike, It has always been course, and due to some medications my stylists says it is now thinning.
Oh no! Medications have had that effect on me, too. Crossing my fingers it’s just temporary and will sort itself out.
My hair hasn’t looked good for years, and I feel like I have tried everything! My hair and scalp is constantly dry and frizzy, and it sucks! I have tried so many different shampoos, conditioners, oils, hair creams and mousses and nothing has really done much to improve my hair. I really neead some help and I would love the opportunity to try Clear Scalp and Hair. Please.. my hair will thank you.
I have very dry, coarse, curly short hair. It’s a dried out mess that has been coloured and twisted to within an inch of it’s life. Also, having black hair, it is very coarse and doesn’t retain moisture easily. I need help!
OMG my hair need an intervention cuz its sooo dry and long and needs to get healthy again.. its aslo super frizzy sometimes and always falls out everywhere… PLEASE PLEASE HELP MY HAIR~~~
I have 3 kiddos and I’m just starting to take time for myself so I have neglected my hair for awhile now. I would be very interested to see if this system really works. Thanks for the opportunity :)
I am always seeking new hair products, but have recently given up on the shampoo & conditioner mission because expensive or cheap, the results seem to be the same. I’ve opted for fixing what I can with finishing products, such as the serums, creams etc. My hair is long, thick and in the winter quite dry. I colour as often as I can and wash & blow dry daily. For some reason, this winter has really added dry, frizzy effect I get after blow drying and it seems to take a couple hours for it to settle down! It would be great to give CLEAR Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy a try!
Sounds like me – fixing the damage with finishing products. The second picture had NO finishing products whatsoever!
The winter weather this year is drying out my hair like crazy and increasing breakage. Thanks for the opportunity.
Just coloured to get the grey out and would like it to feel more natural.
I had this wonderful idea back in August. I had just had my last baby back in July and needed a change. So, over the next few months I took myself from nearly black hair, to blonde. I’ve tried to leave weeks between lightening so I reduced the risk of over processing. Unfortunately my hair grows fast. By 2 weeks I have very visable black roots. The blonde looks much better (it’s so much brighter), but the upkeep is killing my hair. Also, I’m sure there are lengthier processes for getting healthier hair. However, with 3 kids under 5, 2 older dogs, a Great Pyrenees puppy (who is the size of a small horse), a parrot, my father in law AND brother living with us, if there is something I can do in the shower to save my poor hair, I’d be thrilled!
It really does sound like you need a hair intervention Crystal! I’ll cross my fingers for you!
One Word – Menopause – My hair used to be easily shiny and healthy. Now it takes a lot of time and product to make it beautiful. On top of that…Gotta hide those greys every 6 weeks. So a multitude of product to make my hair shiny or less frizzy or not grey. It all adds up. I am ready to take the challenge.
I have decided to not colour and am salt and pepper. Would love some help with how to controls frizz as I have curly hair as well. I also want to make the greys look shiny!! Help.
Oh my gosh I can’t believe the difference in your hair! I have been dying my hair blonde consistently for 15 years and it is slowly killing it :( also, I can’t afford to go to the salon this month and it desperately needs it!
Your hair does look great. And that was adorable of your husband to notice and appreciate. Those are good moments.
I have really long, really fine hair and we use wood for heating in the winter so everything gets really, really dry, including my hair. I tend to use a lot of the oil-serum type products. Some work and some don’t.
I do have a great husband :)
My hair is thick, hard to manage and always frizzy! It needs all the help it can get! LOL!
I not only would like to try it but I NEED to try it. I think this will be the rehab my hair needs.
I have coloured my hair all sorts of colours since I was 15. I am in my mid thirties.
I have permed it, ironed it with a house hold iron. I have bleached my hair several times only to strip it and go back. I blow dry and flat iron and I have to say I am surprised that I have any hair left. I am getting ready to shave it all off.
We are the same person, Tania!! I’ve abused my hair consistently over the years too… and the fact that I just brightened my highlights shows I have no intention of stopping! Try CLEAR, it really worked for me!
I have used a Mattrix EXPENSIVE shampoo and conditioner for years and loved it but lately (last 6 months or so) I have found it does seem to work as well or leave me hair as nice. I think time for a change. It would be great to try this. Thanks for opportunity.
I would love to take part of this challenge since my hair needs help. I am always tackling the frizz from my natural curls and I can’t seem to find a product that does enough.
My hair is horrible – especially in the winter. My bathroom floor looks like 2 long haired cats had a fight in there after I’ve washed my hair or styled it. I would love a chance to try the CLEAR Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy
What a picture you paint, Patricia!! But sadly, I know what you’re talking about!
I’d love to try it out! Edmonton has been cold and snowy for the last 5 months, so my hair could use some help.
I’ve got crazy curly hair that gets very dry and frizzy in the winter. Plus all the colour I put into it to cover the grey doesn’t help. This product sounds like it might just be the thing to help give me back some control over the rat’s nest on my head! :)
My hair has no body and is brittle and breaks off.
My hair is not doing well at all this winter! It’s so dry and damaged from heat styling tools. Help!
My hair…..well, just before Christmas I cut off about 12 inches and donated it, but now “at my age” I am getting a little older adn am taking blood pressure meds that cause my hair to take on a personality of it’s own. It is wiry, thin and frizzy. It is thinning like crazy, always feel like it is falling out and I need help!
Kudos to your for donating your hair, Cheryl! But, sorry to hear about your hair troubles! Sounds like this is a great time for a hair intervention.
I’ve been switching up my shampoos every couple months for the last year, trying to find something that will help with my super fine, limp, breakable hair. Gettin married this summer and have been trying to grow my hair for the wedding and it seems limper than ever. I’d love to try this if it has the potential to make my hair look half as good as it did to yours!
Congratulations on you upcoming wedding, Robyn!
My hair is so dry and damaged from the SK winter, its a hot mess! My part doesn’t actually look like a part, but added volume since I have so many flyaways. Not to mention how dull it is. My hair definitely needs help!
I’ve been wearing a bun all winter.. Help!
I’ve been trying to grow my hair out from a disastrous pixie cut 2 years ago, now I’m not quite shoulder length but it’s so dry and frizzy that I’m debating getting it cut again even though I hate my hair short.
Just in time Lena!!! I have turned myself into a blonde!! Whoo Hooo!! boy could use the Color & Damage Control I love my new hair but…. I’m worried about my hair being damaged in the long run. Nice pic that your hubby took I love your glasses!!
WOO HOO Allie! Welcome to the blonde sisterhood!
I have used this shampoo since July, and I LOVE it!! I haven’t had to take a break from it as often as I have with other brands.
That’s amazing Meghan, thanks so much for the feedback!
I would love to try this product!
My hair gets used to shampoos very fast, so I have to switch often. Desperately needing a cut combined with Winter is taking a harsh toll on my hair, would love to see if CLEAR could revive it!
P.S. The before and after photos are amazing, even despite more bleaching. heh, it’s true!! Really though, I’m impressed!!
:) Yup, more bleaching indeed!
My hair is dyed from a box, I live in Alberta and I teach a minimum of three swim classes (in chlorinated and salt water) a week! I would LOVE to try this product and not feel I have to we’re the ‘mom pony tail’ on most days :-) thanks so much!
Winter kills me. I am a dry itchy mess. HELP ME!!
My hair is more bleach than au natural…this would be a god send…especially in the winter wasteland we’re living in! Please let me try!
My hair is so dry and my scalp is flakey, I use H&S to try and minimize the dryness and keep my hair in a braid because it sticks to everything. I am always shocked by the amount of hair in my brush at the end of every week. Even if I don’t get to try it from you, I think I will buy it and try it. Certainly can’t hurt.
I think that’s a good idea, Debbie. It’s so affordable, it’s worth a try!
I have greasy hair, which means I wash it and have to blow dry it every day. My hair takes a lot of damage and needs help!
Would love to try this product as I have thick, curly hair!! Canadian winters are brutal on my hair. Been called Suzie Frizette in French-Canada and Curly sue in English-Canada. I need to tame these curls! Thanks!!
Curly Sue!! I envy you – would love ridiculous curls!
i would love to try this challenge! i have been fighting nature as my hair gets darker, which means i’ve been having it professionally coloured or highlighted since I was 13. i’ll be 31 next month you do the math. these tresses need a boost!!
After baby #2 was born 18 months ago, my hair has not been the same! It’s dry, frizzy, damaged, and hard to tame! I used to have naturally blonde, naturally straight hair, but after 2 pregnancies the texture and state of my hair changed and went darker, coarser and drier. Ugh. I have major frizzy and flyaway ends and I’m constantly looking for a product that will change my straw-like hair into silk. Please choose me!
My hair is in desperate need of some TLC! I have naturally curly hair that drives me up the wall! I have not found a single product yet that I can tame my frizzies. I have tried just about every product out there and have found nothing that works for taming my tresses! My husband loves it when I wear my hair down but I cannot stand it cause all I see is frizz sticking out all over the place. Guess this is what our frigid Manitoba winters do to curly hair. I also color my hair approximately 3-5 times a year, I only color it because in the winter my hair darkens and in the summer it lightens (Im a natural blonde) I love my curls but it is a love hate relationship. Love it cause it looks gorgeous for about 2 hours every morning after I do it, but hate it for the rest of the day because it gets so frizzy that you would never think that I even brushed my hair, so I have to through it in a ponytail to at least make myself presentable. I have threatened my hubby that I need to cut it short, just so I can manage it better. I would love to be able to try these products.
Wow, sounds like you need a hair intervention! May I suggest John Frieda hair products for your curls? All my curly-haired friends swear by them :)
Looks great and I love how your name is on the side of the box!
Right?? It was such a special touch!
I am trying to get my long elbow length hair looking great but it’s just so frizzy and damaged. It breaks so easily and it is very dry. I really want long hair but feel I need to chop it off as nothing is making it look strong and healthy. I have to try these products before the scissors!
I have straight thick hair that gets a wave when it is wet. When it is dry the fly aways are crazy – When I put it in a pony it looks like I am a baby with so much peach fuzz. I really need help with the basics. I have just re-entered the world of school and I want to be cool and stop looking like the crazy comfy mom of 2. Also if you have a product to make the black dents under my eyes look normal then please feel free to let me try that product. Thanks
I have very fine thin hair..would love to try this. thanks
My hair has been frizzy and brittle since having my daughter. I would love to try this to see the effects.
Like you, I don’t like to wash my hair every day, it would be great to try a shampoo/conditioner that addresses my hair’s dryness/colour-concerns/frizzies but also “cleanses” my scalp so I don’t have to worry about going day’s between washings…sign me up! Thanks for the opportunity :)
Cheers, Lisa
The shampoo is great for balancing dry ends and greasy roots! You’ll love it!
Hi there – love your hair – it looks great. My problem – aging & dryness & trying to keep colour but the greys keep creeping in = more colour = more dryness = viscious circle. Would love to try this..thanks
Happy Valentine’s Day to one & all.
I’d love to have healthier, shinier and stronger hair. This sounds like a wonderful set of products and based on your results, I’d love to try the system for myself.
My main problem in the winter is tangles. I cannot get a brush through my hair easily even with regular cuts. I also have a lot of frizz and hair that goes crazy with any wet weather. I’d like to try this new product out:)
I’m currently growing out my hair and it’s a challenge, to say the least. I have frizz and flyaways, and more frighteningly grey wiry hairs! It’s not so much the grey I object to, rather the texture!! And on top of all that – I colour my hair at home. Add in the blow drying and straightening, and my hair can be one hot mess!
I’d love the chance to see what this line can do for me!
If this really works, I’ll be very happy! I have naturally blonde hair that’s fine and thin. I regularly colour it to a dark reddish brown and it’s now so dry and the breakage is incredible! I need help!!! Let’s give it a shot
My split ends!! They drive me bananas. I don’t dye my hair or even heat style too much… I just can’t lose them.
My hair is put through the ringer all year long and I pay for it during the winter months. I put my hair through the blow dryer, straightener and even the curling iron just to get it behaving. But during the winter months, the dryness and the static makes it all that much harder to handle. Split ends, dull colour…all of it! I would love to see if my hair can be rescued!
Same. I actually curl my ends to get rid of frizzies… eve though I know it’s worse for my hair in the long run!
I’d like to put this to the test. I’m a non believer that it’s the shampoo/conditioner that makes the hair.
I can use dollar store products as long as I have my chi silk or Marrakesh Oil… my hair looks silky and smooth!! lol and it’s usually a ball of frizz at the ends without any good AFTER products, :)
I wonder if I could hang them up for a week…. Pick me and let’s test it out!
My pregnancy hair is super oily and not what it used to be – It needs some serious help!
Thank you all for leaving your feedback! I’ve read every single comment and wish I could send CLEAR to you all, STAT! The good news? It’s only $4.94 at Walmart, so if you don’t win, I encourage you to try it out for yourselves. And… if you don’t love it, you’ll get your money back :)
I’d love to give it a shot. I have really long hair (waist-length) and the ends always feel a bit dry and frizzy.
Lena, you look beautiful in both photos. My big complaint about my hair…dried ends!! I am going to have to have a few inches cut off the lenght too!!
Thank you Teresa :)
My hair needs an intervention!! It is very fine, thin, dry and frizzy,,yet still oily as well. It is just a mess.! Would love to give these products a try!! :)
My hair is dry, dull and frizzy … help, it needs help!!!! Would love to try these products!
My hair is just ‘getting over’ my second pregnancy and hopefully I won’t be losing anymore! I have thick, coarse, curly hair and since I do like to straighten it occasionally, my hair is pretty dry. I would love to try these new products to give my hair some bounce and shine!
my daughter says I have “crazy mama hair” – I think that says it all – I would love to try the CLEAR system and see if it helps me be less crazy, or at least my hair anyway, LOL!
Ok Lena, you saw my hair at the #sunroomfl event, my hair NEEDS help!
Hahaha. I remember when you complimented me on my hair – I should have attributed it to CLEAR!
I have thin hair but lots of it and i hate getting the frizzy ends as it makes my hair puff out at the bottom and i look like a round mushroomhead lol. I would love to try this product!!
I color my hair, it’s long, very thick, split ends, and it’s need an intervention. I would love to test the Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty.
i’m definitely interested. my hair is wavy/curly and i like to straighten it so it gets that nice frizz all around unless i use a flat iron – and then even still happens sometimes :(
pick me!!
My hair is frizzy and hard to tame at the best of times but the winter makes my scalp dry and my hair looses its shine completely. My head could definitely use some therapy!
If you’re husband noticed, I’m going to have to try this! I’ve come back to Ontario after 4 years in a lovely tropical climate and my skin, scalp and hair are furious with me! I’ve tried 8 different hair products in 2 months to try to get back to healthy hair and scalp and am still looking! Maybe Clear is the answer…?
You look great, so does your hair!
I actually have used this and love love loved it! I am with you its a great product!
Thanks Tammy – and so happy you let us all know that you love CLEAR! Thanks for the testimonial!
would love to try this my hair is so fine -nothing works that great lately
If Clear could have the effect on my hair that it has had on yours Lena, I would be absolutely dumbfounded. I have wavy, fine hair that I keep at least shoulder length. With flyaways and frizzies, my hair had been uncontrollable most of my life. If only using this for just 7 days could help, I would fall over. Stunned would be my new name. I would like to take the challenge!
Sounds like we have the same hair texture, Kelly – fine, wavy shoulder length hair. Hope you try the product if you don’t win the chance here – I think you’ll really like it!
Since my little girl was born almost 5 years ago, my hair has been so dry and frizzy. I have tried everything and I can’t get it back to the way it used to be! My hair is very thick and I have it highlighted regularly. I need something to help me get my soft hair back!
I was so shocked by the state of my hair and scalp that I abandoned shampoo all together and “washed” with baking soda and essential oils and rinsed with apple cider vinegar for three years! I recently switched back to shampoo, but I am not happy with the texture of my hair, and it seems to be falling out again. I’d really like to find out it Clear can stop or reverse the damage! I’m in if you will take me!
The heating and blowdrying my hair in winter months has dried out my hair:( plus I have a big vacation planned in April and need to look my best! Shweta
My hair is one thing I try to keep beautiful. As I age (40!) And am overweight I take pride in my hair. Winter can be so hard on it though. I would love to try this product. I had noticed a few ads recently and was interested in trying it already.
I am always trying different products to make my hair look better. I have fine hair and lots of dry ends. I also have dry itchy scalp and need help. I would love to try these products. Your hubby is a keeper, what a sweetie!
He IS a keeper! Thanks Laurie!
Great article. The photos and the commentary both leave me feeling like I want to try this product. My naturally curl hair is always dry, flyaway and frizzy. I could really use some help in the hair department. I also need to colour my hair to hide the grey which spreads to more and more areas of my head. Like you Lena, I need to try it for myself for me to be a believer. With so many products out there, so many claims being proven false and the high cost of everything nowadays it is so hard to justify spending a lot of money try a new product that might not even work. If it does not work then I will end up with an almost full bottle which no one will use. I am happy to hear and see the results you experienced, Lena.
Oh boy, I could use this..third pregnancy in 4 years = hormone imbalances..hair falling out..nutrient deprived hair since current baby growing is taking all my precious nutrients..and after my last pregnancy I now have lovely dry flaky patches randomly all over my head.. BUT it’s totally worth it to have beautiful healthy babies :)
Ever since I turned 20 something changed my hair has gone from fine to finer and gets damaged at ridiculous levels even though I dont straighten, curl or blow dry my hair. The cold weather or the sun is enough to make my hair look and feel brittle. I’ve tried everything, from drug stores brands to ridiculously expensive ones from salons and sephora. So really need to try something quick that works because my hair is falling out and breaking too much.
Breakage is a huge concern for women… I totally know how you feel!
My hair needs an intervention because I color, use products, and flat iron …. it is screaming for help!
My hair is thick and damaged. I wash my hair every 2nd day but with this challenge I will wash it every day. I would love a chance at this hair challenge.
My hair is in desperate need of an intervention! Im a single mom, working and in college and cant afford the care it deserves! I use styling tools on it everyday, and when it begins to look too dead, I trim it myself which works for the first five minutes and then it is back to dry and brittle! Pleas let me try this product!!
Oh please don’t trim it yourself! You need an intervention!
Thank you so much for intervening in my hair crisis! Hoping this product will work miracles!
My hair has always been beautiful but I have grown it all the way to my heaps. This is the first time I have it so long and I do not know what to do to keep it beautiful. It has started to dry a little since I got some highlights done. I love my new color but I do not want to cut my hair.
My hair is a frizzy mess in the winter!
My hair needs this because it is extrememly damaged from all kinds of heat styling. Blow drying, flat ironing, curling, etc… I also have horrible split ends, and is very thick and frizzy!
I have always had issues with my hair even now as an adult it seems to get worse. My hair is always so dry, and frizzy. No volume and simple flat and straight. My scalp is always so dry and itchy, and needs a lot of work regularly.
I would LOVE to try this. I have normal straight hair and I have Never been able to do anything with it. but put it up in a pony tail and I think that’s getting a little out-dated :)
My hair needs this because winter has been so harsh to it! It’s dry, brittle and beyond dull.
My hair becomes so frizzy in the winter, plus the humidity of where I live doesn’t help the cause!
Winter is wrecking havoc on my hair! I’m a slave to my hair straightener and hair dryer so years and years of heat damage has taken its toll on what once was gorgeous shiny locks. Now I’m a gigantic frizzball the second I step out of the shower and try to get rid of the frizz by marinating my hair in whatever thick conditioner/hair serum you can think of. I’m so tired of not knowing what to do with my hair anymore when I know the solution really is that simple. But it’s hard to break some habits! I have also stopped colouring my hair because I just can’t bear to see what might happen. I’m so jealous of your highlights and flowing hair…perhaps I can have the same!
My hair needs help! Not only is it dry and ALWAYS frizzy, it breaks alllll the time. I really need a fix, I’ve tried it all!
Don’t count my entry, but had to stop by to say I’m loving your pics! You rock the glasses!
My hair has recently become dull and frizzy.
Short hair growing out! Plus I’m a dye junkie. I desperately need some revitalization
I have naturally wavy hair that gets very frizzy while the top stays flaaaat. It’s a good look…
My hair could use the help to be healthier and help with split ends. Sounds like a great challenge.

I know it’s over but thank you for sharing
Thanks Londia :)
I was curious about this shampoo!!! Thanks for posting a review :)
My pleasure Samantha!
I was one of the winners of the giveaway to try the Clear Hair shampoo & conditioner line – so here are my thoughts after using the products for a few days:
I was sent bottles of the Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Damage & Color Repair Shampoo & Conditioner (now that’s a mouthful!) to try.
As what you might call a gym rat, my hair tends to get pretty dirty/greasy from exercise.. HOWEVER, I also color, blowdry and flat iron my hair so it is also damaged and dry. Combine that with a dry, cold Manitoba winter – it can be a little bit of chaos. :-)
My intital impression is that the products smell horrible. They have almost a medicinal smell? I am not sure what to call it, but I am not a fan.
After the first use of the shampoo & conditioner my scalp (that tends to be a little irritated) felt much better. Refreshed, if you will. My hair felt like it was more moisturized immediately (but not greasy). I felt that compared to ‘normal’ it did appear to feel less dry and I noticed less fly-away hairs afterwards.
My subsequent uses were the same – my hair looks and feels better. I’d have to say this is a product I would bring into my hair care routine!
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback Suzie! I’m glad to hear that you did notice a difference – and will certainly forward your review to CLEAR!
I had an old bottle of shampoo I wanted to use up. Big mistake! I received the shampoo and conditioner over a week ago. I am on DAY 2 of the 7 Day Scalp-Hair Challenge. I listened to Lena and I have not used my usual finishing products! I don’t need them! I might be converted.
So happy to hear that Christy! It really works wonders for those frizzy ends!
Hey lena I have been using the CLEAR shampoo and conditioner and so has my daughter we both agree it make your hair soft and manageable( we both have color treated hair) it lathers up like no shampoo I have ever used making my hair very clean and the condirtioner is very nice no flyaways I have just started seriously bleaching my hair and cut it all off to try something new for a change so this was the right time for me to try a new product can’t beat the price!!!! So four thumbls up!!!!

So happy to hear that you AND your daughter love it! And change is AWESOME – good for you Ms. Blondie!
Just wondering if the winners were announced? I must of missed it :)
Hi Holly! Yes, winners were e-mailed… and you can see some of their reviews above :)
I was one of the winners for the giveaway, and since I only wash my hair every other day.. sometimes, even every two days so it has taken me some time to try the shampoo. I don’t think I have used it 7 times since I’ve received it but I am already noticing a difference. What is crazy to me is that even though this is a shampoo focused on the “scalp”, it is my ends that are smooth and softer than ever. I typically have to use a deep hair mask/conditioner to get this effect! Another thing is that I haven’t had the need to use a straightener ever since I’ve been using this shampoo. My hair is so shiny and sleek that I don’t need to use it, and I think because of this, I am noticing that my hair is actually really long (because it can’t be the shampoo making my hair grow … can it?). Regardless, I love this and I will have to repurchase this once I’m done with the duo that I won thanks to Lena!
