… the Garbage Police.
Seriously, there is such a detachment. They specialize in making sure that indoor garbage cans are filled to a sanitary level; taken out on a regular basis, and of course, never contain items that can be recycled or composted. And the reason I know so much about the Garbage Police? I’m an honorary member.
It’s true! There’s nothing worse than an overflowing garbage can. My OCD just can’t handle it, dammit. The thought of all those germs, fumes and icky food scraps… so close to the place where I prepare fresh food? No thank you. The second the garbage can fills to about 75%, I begin screaming at my husband to change it.
(Sometimes he just stomps on it and says “we’re all good, lots of room left.” It’s in those moments that I seriously reconsider the commitment I’ve made to him.)
So it’s the holiday season, and you can bet I’ve received a lot of press releases. And for the most part, I’ve waded through the messages, respectfully declining as the product or service was not a right fit – or I couldn’t fit it into my editorial calendar.
But I’ve decided to put all my other regularly scheduled posts on hold as I share this information from Glad Trash Bags with Odour Guard technology. Why? Rest assured, I’m not being paid a cent to do it, nor has Glad twisted my arm in any way. Frankly, I just believe that everyone should try these bags over the holiday season. They’re the perfect way to avoid a stinky situation…
The trash bag experts at Glad have a solution so you truly can be the hostess with the mostest: Glad Trash Bags with Odour Guard technology. Heard of it? It’ll change your life. Okay, okay, maybe it’ll just change your trash bag choice.
It’s thanks to the unique Glad Odour Guard proprietary technology that neutralizes garbage odours while leaving a fresh scent, helping to keep your kitchen smelling clean. Think of it as the stinky‐scent-busting superhero of your kitchen. Best of all, it comes in a variety of Glad garbage and recycling products, so there’s definitely a product that suits your needs. Consider all of the ways Glad Trash Bags with Odour Guard can help make your life better:
1. Your home won’t smell like garbage ever – ‘nuff said. Not when your guests arrive, not as trash piles up during your party, and not the morning after when you’ve got tidying up to do.
2. Odour Guard helps suppress the smell of your garbage, so you may find that those darn raccoons who treat your trash bins as their personal buffet may start looking elsewhere for a snack!
3. You won’t feel the need to double-bag your garbage — talk about being bad for the environment and your pocketbook.
All you have to do is look for the Odour Guard symbol to make sure you’re getting the odour‐neutralizing technology you didn’t even know you needed. You’ll find it on a range of Glad products including Indoor, Outdoor, Recycling and Compostable bags.
Et voila! The perfect way to stay sweet-smelling this holiday season. Now aren’t you glad I stopped the presses for this post? You won’t see the Garbage Police at your door!
And now back to your regularly scheduled programming…
Lena, I’m glad you stopped the presses for this post. I will definitely pick up these Glad garbage bags with Odour Guard technology on my next shopping trip. Thanks for the tip.
You’re welcome, happy holidays!
Okay, thanks for the tip!
NP! Enjoy the holidays!
We’ve been using these bags for months, they are great.
Great to hear, Daria! Thanks for stopping by!
I love these bags. unfortunately my husband insists on buying the cheap no name garbage bags. he says these are a waste of money and that room sprays get rid of the smell just fine. hes in charge of the garbage though so i cant really argue with him too much or it will be yet another job i have to deal with lol.
LOL I can completely sympathize with you, but trust me, I’ve converted my husband over to these bags! They’re awesome!
I have to “nag” my boyfriend to take out the garbage..and it’s never usually happens until the next day at least..I also like it to be emptied at around the 75% mark..it never does..gets on my nerves..haha But that’s one of the house jobs he’s signed up for so I refuse to do it hahaha
:) I refuse to take out the garbage too!
I have never tried the odour guard ones, but I see it’s febreze so I may just have to pick up a box and see if there is a difference
