Did you enjoy Monday’s guest post from Shauna MacKenzie? Well, this isn’t so much a guest post as it is eye candy. Or creative genius. Or card-making porn. You choose!
You know how Peter Parker’s grandma was floored (but yet, not really surprised) when she found out her grandson was moonlighting as Spider-Man? That pretty much describes my reaction to when I discovered that fellow blogger Diana of Toronto Teacher Mom has an alter ego: in fact, she’s been leading a very crafty second life, if you please.
(However, I’m fairly certain that spider webs don’t shoot through her wrists… for now.)
(She does know how to move, though – I’ve watched her dance. Hmm…)
Anyhoo, I just had to share some of her handmade cards with you – who doesn’t appreciate a beautiful work of art? And I’m a huge admirer of clean lines, balanced embellishments and complementary colour schemes. Translation: her pieces are drool worthy.
Eye Candy of the Day:
Now don’t you just want to a) be-friend Diana, b) have a special occasion, c) invite Diana to said occasion, and d) hope that she makes you one of her glorious cards? Oh yeah. Already ahead of you – cause we’re already friends, ha! Now I just need to think up that special occasion…
Click here to visit Diana’s Designs Blog. Be sure to have a coffee and cookie on standby, though, since you’ll likely be there a while.
Wow! Very creative and artistic work Diana. You are so talented! I love all your unique designs – especially the “Thinking of You” and “Mr. & Mrs.” card. Will visit your Designs Blog soon.
Thanks, Marissa! I wish I could take all the credit for the ampersand card but it is actually my version of Tracy Gough’s orginal, which you can find on her blog: http://camsmum-tg.blogspot.ca/2008/05/bbtb-ampersand-contest.html
LOL – definite card-porn!! Diana is so extremely talented! I love giving cards like this to people for special occasions, or just because. So much thought is put into each one. What a talented lady!
Aw, thanks Shauna! If only I was just as talented in the kitchen as you…
Amazing! How I wish I were a crafty grandma lol I could gaze at this work for hours!
Thanks, Anne! I own a Cricut machine so it really makes it easy to get crafty. I don’t know what I would do without it.
beautiful! love the ariel card <3
Thanks, Angie! I used to love making Disney princesses. Maybe I should pull out that old cartridge soon.
Wow, what beautiful work!! My favorite is the ones with the butterflies.
Huguette, you’re so sweet! That butterfly set was quite popular. I have a thing for butterflies!
Amazing work! I love the Cinderella one!
Thanks, Kat! The Cinderella card is another old one. It was fun putting it together.
Wow serious stuff! Beautiful cards . So I guess you don’t sleep (sleep is overrated anyways) Great job!!
Who told you I don’t sleep? LOL You’re right, though. Could explain this ocular migraine I’m experiencing today. Ha! Now, where is that craft glue…?
So you must own a Cricket or something like it please say yes!!
Yes, yes, YES! Um, I’m sorry. Got a little too excited there…
Very creative and cute cards!
Thank you, Margaret!
These cards are very pretty!
Aren’t the gorgeous, Deb??
Those are beautiful! Makes you want to keep the card for display and not throw it in a drawer after the fact (or recycle) like mass produced store bought cards. :o
Couldn’t have said it better, Lisa!
I love those cards. They’re so pretty.
These are really pretty.
Nice stuff.
Drool worthy indeed.

Super cute! I love all of her designs! The first one would be super cute for a baby shower
I know. In fact, I think I’ll be calling Diana soon ;)
I make a lot of cards but nothing like these. I’m enjoying looking at them.
Awesome Jennifer, glad to provide some eye candy for you!
These are beautiful, Diana!
Love the doggie card – green and brown are two of my favourite colours right now. Great job!
Me too Patti! Love the earthy combination!
