Turkey & All the Trimmings… Any Night of the Week!

September 19, 2012 By Lena

Consider this a Public Service Announcement (PSA):

Yes, you CAN enjoy a delicious turkey dinner all year ’round. No, you DON’T have to purchase a 15lb bird. Yes, you can make it TONIGHT.

Introducing… Butterball Turkey Roasts! Enjoy the convenience of a turkey that goes from freezer to oven – and even includes stuffing – which means that you’re spending more time with your family, and less time in the kitchen. They’re perfect for every turkey occasion!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I am excited to share some of Butterball’s turkey options with my readers. Say you’re a small family and would rather not go through the time and expense of preparing a whole turkey. Or maybe you’re on the go, and are looking for a quicker, more convenient alternative. Or, perhaps you just want to enjoy a tasty turkey dinner all year ’round, but the thought of preparing and roasting a whole turkey is daunting. Ta-da! Time for a Butterball Turkey Roast.

Butterball Roast ‘n Slice Boneless Stuffed Turkey: The biggest Butterball Roast option, this pre-stuffed turkey serves 8-12 and has had all the bones removed except for the drumsticks. Easy to roast and easy to slice!

Boneless, Stuffed Turkey Breast Roast: Think of this as the BEST turkey roll ever. Tender, juicy breast meat stuffed with delicious homestyle stuffing -serve it warm or cold! It’s delicious the next day right out of the fridge… trust me.

Turkey Breast with Bone: For traditionalists on a modern time crunch, simply carve off the bone for a wholesome family roast which feeds 3-4. Perfectly seasoned and perfect for weeknights!

Stuffed Turkey Breast with Bone: Read above, and now picture it with the awesomeness of Butterball Homestyle stuffing – made with croutons, margarine, onions, celery, parsley and spices for a delicious homemade taste. And how many times do you enjoy stuffing on a week night?

Boneless Turkey Breast: The ultimate roast for sandwiches! Pop it in the oven and enjoy with gravy and veggies tonight; tomorrow, place two slices between your favourite crusty bread. I LOVE these Turkey & Cranberry Sandwiches from Simply Stacie!

Boneless White and Dark Turkey Roast: I have to admit that this is the most head-scratching roast for me due to the aesthetics, but I suppose it’s a pretty ingenious idea if you’ve got both white and dark meat lovers at your table!

And if you’re looking for a not-so-traditional way to incorporate these great products into a quick meal, do check out the Butterball Canada website for recipes specifically created for the roasts. You’ll find:

Turkey Broccoli and Rice Bake
Turkey Teriyaki Stir-fry
Turkey with Chorizo Cornbread Stuffing
… and more!

This Thanksgiving, chances are that you’ll you’ll be serving up a moist, delicious Butterball Whole Turkey. But if you’re looking for the same terrific quality and fresh taste – on a smaller scale – Butterball’s Turkey Roasts are the perfect option! You’ll have all the flavour but none of the fuss. And, I love the idea of having a special holiday dinner… on any night of the week.

These are great! I have been doing turkey rolls for years as we are a small family and dont always travel to the extended family for holidays. Less prep/cooking/cleanup and I dont feel bad eventually throwing out days of leftovers Id have if I did a larger bird.

I love love love these roasts — they’re so easy to prepare and delicious. They have also made a lot of economical sense for me, since I haven’t had large family gatherings in the past few years.

I love turkey sandwiches and the only time I eat them is during the holidays. This is a great way to be able to have them any time of the year without having to buy the crappy deli slices.

EXACTLY! Deli turkey just doesn’t taste like the real thing – so I love the convenience of these turkey roasts, especially for turkey sandwiches!

Thanks for your review, Lena! I’m skeptical though … does this really taste like roast turkey? If I didn’t know, would I think that this was sliced right off the bird? Thanks for your help!

I’m embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve NEVER roasted a whole turkey or chicken. I’ve been lucky enough to have someone else do the roasting every holiday (which I’m thankful for, believe me). I’ve seen these Butterball products in the grocery stores and wondered about them. I just might have to try them out after reading this post and some of the comments.

This would be great for christmas, but how’s the nutritional content. I’m really worried that ready made foods aren’t healthy.
