So You Think You Can Dance?

September 8, 2012 By Lena

Our little guy was just registered for Toddler Dance classes! After playing “Just Dance 3” obsessively for the last two weeks, we felt he was trying to send us a message :) Excited to see Reid bust a move on the school’s dance floor!

Three minutes of foot stomping and fancy hands ahead…

Thanks you Nicole x 2 and Kat! I think it’s a great way to stay active, and since I’ve got two left feet, I wholeheartedly encourage the coordination benefits :)

Hi lena…that’s great…do you mind if I ask where you registered him? I am looking for toddler dance classes in mississauga for my daughter…thanks~!

Kathy, I looked into both http://www.canadamusicschool.com and http://www.canadiandancecompany.com. Both have very good reputations, but in the end I settled on Canadian Dance Company for two reasons:

      1) Both schools charge $12 per class, but Canadian Dance Company offers 45 minute classes vs. 30 minute classes at Canada’s School of Music and Arts. I can imagine dragging Reid kicking and screaming from the 30 minute class, because I know the time goes by in a heartbeat.

      2) This won’t be applicable in your daughter’s case, but the Canadian Dance Company offers 50% off for every boy’s first year of dance (the registration for dance classes is very low for boys, so they try to encourage enrollment by providing a discount). Hence, I just couldn’t pass up on 15 minutes more for half the cost this year.

Good luck – perhaps I’ll run into you at the school!

Such a sweetheart! Technology has progressed since my daughter was this small. I wish I had videos of some of the things that she did that made me laugh. She turned 24 today. Thank you for the cute video, Lena :)

Happy Birthday to your (baby) girl Teresa! I love that both my boys are so active – and when they do choose video games, it’s the ones that get them moving even more!
