Stuff I Like to Blog About: eos Lip Balm

January 26, 2012 By Lena

Saying I have an addiction to lip gloss and lip balm is putting it lightly. VERY lightly.

In fact, after spending last Sunday afternoon decluttering my makeup bins – a chore that took most of the afternoon and tested all of my husband’s patience – I was able to whittle down the pile to the “bare essentials”… you know, the stuff I need on a daily basis.

My name is Lena and I’m addicted to lip stuff.

You’ll notice that I don’t actually own any lipstick (sooo 1994) but instead, have hoarded every shiny, sparkly, goopy, glorious lip gloss and lip balm known to mankind (I have a separate drawer for my 32 Lip Smackers and “occasional” glosses). It actually took all my strength to dispose of about 20 additional products, but as my husband so eloquently put it: “Either they go or I go. Get all that sh*t out of here NOW.”

And so I’m feeling very feng shui and uplifted now that I’ve let go of the makeup that was obviously standing in my way of fame and fortune. Wait a minute – what did I do with that Chanel gloss I bought in New York last year? OMG I think I tossed it by accident. Waaa! Waaa!

Moving on. Since I’m all about quirky and unique packaging, of course I have a love affair with eos (evolution of smooth) lip products. I mean, they come packaged in little spheres! Ridiculously cute.

I am SO over tubed lip balms. Smarten up!

But it’s more than just great looks – eos lip balms are 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free . They also happen to be packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, so your lips stay moist, soft and sensationally smooth. I suppose the easiest way to put it is that they cram all the good stuff in and leave all the bad stuff out. #genius

And, after I was sent the little pods for review, I developed yet another addiction – this time, to collect them all! At the present time, only Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew and Sweet Mint are available in Canada, so I’ll have to remember on my next trip down to the US to pick up Lemon Drop, Tangerine and Strawberry Sorbet. WANT!

After two weeks of using eos lip balm almost exclusively, I have the most kissable lips ever. You’re welcome, hubby. Available at Rexall and Shoppers Drug Mart in TO, or online from Well.ca for just $3.99 (plus FREE shipping in Canada!).

Oh my gosh, I love looking at the picture of all of your glosses! It’s like a treasure chest! I get the chills just looking at it. Heaven!

I will be purchasing some eos tomorrow. It sounds amazing!

LOL, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I put that picture up as my wallpaper. Though I should have taken I picture before I decluttered! Now that would have been pure heaven!

You’ll love the lip balm. Honestly, it’s probably one of my faves of all time.

Just saw a little blurb about these in a mag today, they were raving about them as well! I’ll have to try it soon! I don’t wear lip stick either… I’ll wear lip gloss if I’m going out, but for the most part I am all about the lip balm!

You’ll love it Nicole. Not very skinny-jeans friendly (LOL) but I just throw mine into my purse and constantly find myself reaching for it in winter.

I have all three of the ones available in Canada – but unfortunately Smookie has claimed them! You see – their spherical shape makes them a perfect fit for her cute little paws. This saddens me, but I love the natural factor for her! And when she puts the honeydew EOS on, I make her give me extra kisses by pretending I’m sad :) #ManipulativeMama

So sweet! Yes the Honeydew is my fave scent of those available too… I just applied some. Thankfully I have two little dudes so they’re not stealing my makeup any time soon…. :)

You know what’s crazy, I looked for these everywhere for like a year, they were all the rage on youtube a while back. I finally found them at chapters over christmas and I think I paid like $7 for one, then I began picking up ones here and there at rexall and shoppers. I have three now, not sure where to get the rest (I have the three that you have). Apparently RW&Co sells them too, but I haven’t found them there.

OMG $7 are you serious? Shame on Chapters! Well, the three we both have are currently the only scents available in Canada. The rest are set to launch this year, but there’s not set date quite yet. I’ll be sure to let you know if I come across any new flavours!

I am obsessed with lip stuff as well… I probably could purchase a house with the money I’ve invested in lip stuff.
I just bought two of the EOS lip balms…2 more to add to my list.

I wondered about those but was turned off by the round shape. It feels like another thing to clutter my purse while the the tubes fit snugly into pockets.

Eos balms are so cute! Have you seen the new see-through ones? Pretty cool!
