Last night, during a tug-of-war with the kids and the blanket (I’ve really got to banish this whole “family bed” phenomena) I began to think about random things – whether there’s enough snow on the ground to shovel, if one can gain weight through osmosis while watching Paula Deen on television, and blogging. I thought about blogging.
And for some reason, my first post came to mind. The very first time I hit publish back in October 2008. And what motivated me to start a blog in the first place.
So I checked my archives this morning; let’s just say it’s not a complete shock that the subject of my first post is makeup. Does Rimmel still make this little gem? I’m still using the same pencil from 2008 :) Here’s the post –
I LOVE THIS EYELINER!
It’s a “soft” kohl, which means ~
1) It goes on smoothly, almost like a liquid
2) There’s no tugging or faded lines
3) The colour is INTENSE
And here’s the kicker… it’s a pencil! That’s right ladies, the boldness of a liquid liner with the convenience of a pencil. Absolutely heavenly for those who have a less-than-steady hand while applying liquid lines.
The product also lasts all day long with NO FADING whatsoever. Did I mention I LOVE this eyeliner?
I stumbled across these gems while waiting for a prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart. They’re retailing them for $6.99 which is a steal in itself. I normally wouldn’t have even thought of Rimmel, but the cosmetician looked fab and I asked her what she was using. Surprise!
Try it! You’ll love it!
Today is January 20, 2012… and I still fully endorse (and love) this product!
Love Rimmel eyeliner! You’re right, it applies so smooothly.
It goes on like silk, agreed!
*smoothly, even though I could say smoooooooth
really is that a good price for a pencil? it’s been a while since i bought one. seems like such a little thing to have that kind of price tag lol yes I’m “frugal” lol
LOL Jennifer, that is a FABULOUS price for an eyeliner. To put it in perspective, Urban Decay, who make the most coveted eyeliners in the world, charge $24 a pencil :) So yes, $7 is a steal!
I just found a new favorite liner. Milani which can be found at loblaws stores. Their infinite liquid liner does not come off. The only down side is I’d recommend using a different brush than the one the liner comes with.
I have seen Milani products before but have never really taken a closer look – I will definitely check out their Infinite liner! Thanks so much for the tip!
Lena, since you were bang on with your dry shampoo and lip balm recommendations (eos is so good!) I will have to try this one out. Will let you know!
$6.99 is definitely a steal – I will try it out for sure! Thanks for the tip Lena.
Please do – I think you’ll love it!
I never heard this name before because I always use maybelline eyeliner and kohl. But any ways thanks for introducing me this new one.
Wow that is a great price! Kajal is always the best for smudging too!
