Put a Bow on It: Dell Inspiron One 2320 All-In-One

December 12, 2011 By Lena

Since I don’t like to mince words, I’ll just come out and say it:

This is my favourite computer EVER.

Introducing the Dell Inspiron One 2320 All-in-One desktop computer. This is not the computer I blog from (though I should). It’s not the computer my husband works from (though he could). It is simply the computer the whole family loves, and when we use it, we enjoy it as a family. After reviewing it for just three weeks, it has officially earned the title of “Best Holiday Gift of 2011” in my books.

Why You’ll Love it:

Design: The streamlined and slender all-in-one design is terribly simple and forever rids you of those messy cables and wires, saving valuable space (and sanity). The thin, glossy bezel keeps all the attention on the dramatic 23″ HD screen (!!!) which is also wall-mount friendly (VESA mount sold separately).

Screen: One word. Redonkulous. The irresistible 23″ high-definition 1080p LCD touchscreen (optional) allows for a myriad of interactive adventures. I wish I had a video of the very first time Ryder coloured a car on the computer with his finger; he selected the colours and pattern, creating a true masterpiece! And when it’s time to enjoy some down time, we pop in a blu-ray DVD and the whole family enjoys a Full HD entertainment experience.

Wireless: Did I mention how much I love the fact that it’s almost totally wireless? The wireless keyboard & mouse fit perfectly under the Inspiron One 2320, which boasts just ONE power cord. That’s right, no more dealing with a tangled mess of cables (I swear it’s one of the only things my husband and I argue about. I absolutely loathe wire-overload).

Family Time: Interactive is the name of the game. We love the touch applications, and social media has never been more fun from a desktop. Plus, two kids can play touch-optimized games like Dodge, YouPaint or Bug Garden at once, which is definitely a relief in our “mine!” and “I got here first!” dominated household. In fact, my husband likes to spend most of his free time playing on the computer with the boys, and has discovered some really great programs that keep them entertained for eons (or as long as it takes mommy to get dinner on the table).

Touch Me!: I’ve always felt that a tablet would not be the best option in my home, for the very reason that too many things get hidden under beds, behind dressers and even in the fridge. With the Inspiron One 2320 All-In-One, we have the ease of a tablet without worrying that it will scurry off somewhere! Not only do we have one-touch access to all entertainment and related programs, we can even keep files up-to-date on all supported devices with SyncUP powered by Nero.

Performance: This computer has more juice than Ronnie from Jersey Shore (ba-zing!). The Inspiron One 2320 All-In-One is beefed up with 2nd Generation Intel Core i processors, up to 8GB DDR3 memory and up to Genuine Windows 7 Professional, 64Bit. According to Dell, “that means faster photo and video editing, stunning movie watching, seamless multitasking and enjoying a smooth experience as everyone in the family runs their favorite applications and interactive games.” Yes please!

But I suppose when it comes down to it, this computer brings us the best of all three worlds: a desktop, thanks to its powerful processors and ergonomic setup; a laptop, thanks to its high portability and mostly wireless interface; and a tablet, thanks to its touchscreen feature and ease of use. Check it out:

The Inspiron One 2320 All-In-One is currently on sale, starting at just $699.99. This is more than a computer; it’s an investment into your family’s together time.

This really does look like the perfect combo of tablet and computer!
I can see this sitting right in my family room (so I can keep an eye on the kiddos) so we can all fight over, I mean share it!
Love that it is pretty, sleek and almost wireless!

Absolutely! Plus, the screen is so large (23″) it’s really like having a mini TV – perfect for the family room!

Touchscreens are all the rage right now. Curious how this product compares to the HP model. The screen is 3″ larger, that can be a selling feature alone.

I did a few comparisons myself; even though the HP model is rated slightly higher by industry mags, feature for feature the Dell wins hands down. All I know is the computer is super terrific!

I love Dell computers. Me and my Hubby are both on Dell laptops and I would love to add a touchscreen desktop to the lineup eventually. They also offer great customer service and support on their computers. Great review Lena!
