A Lipstick Story

December 8, 2011 By Lena

“Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian.”

“Why… there could be anything in there!”

“Maybe they forgot?”

“Nope! It’s in there! It’s gotta be in there!”

“Oh boy… oh boy oh boy, would you look at that!

Would you look at THAT!”

 “What is it?”

“Well, it’s a lipstick!”

“You know, like a lipstick!”

“Yeaahhh, lipstick.”

Crazy!!! Is it made of gold? Love the colour, by the way!

LOL! It was not. Though it is probably the most overuse of packaging I’ve seen in a very long time!

Lancome is notoriously known for over-packaging! Like really? One huge box for one lipstick?? What shade is yours? Love the name! I think I got Midnight Rose or something like that lol

I know! It’s so excessive. Love the name too – it’s a matte berry shade; nothing too exciting but absolutely perfect for this time of year :)

You’re telling me! The box was so big and light, I thought for sure they forgot to pack the product!

Lancome lipstick is the best money can buy! It should be wrapped up nicely. Once you try Lancome lippy you will never go back no matter how it comes wrapped up. Love the blog post Lena! Funny!

I concur – Lancome is the BEST. LIPSTICK. EVER. And as such, I can’t fault the care they took in getting it to my door safely.

    • Lena

      December 10, 2011 at 8:57 am

I had a feeling I was being duped based on the weight of the box – it felt like there was nothing in there!

    December 11, 2011 at 11:18 pm

    • Lena

I’ve tried Lancome lipsticks and I just don’t see the hype. They’re very smooth but do not last at all. I would rather wear LOreal lipstick any day of the week.

    • Lena

      December 12, 2011 at 9:00 am

I’ll have to politely disagree based on my own experience – they are smooth, wear very well and very pigmented. Love them!

  21. Jenny

    December 16, 2011 at 2:52 pm

:O That is the most outrageous shipping packaging ever! But at least we know that if we order from Lancome, our product will be safe! haha

    • Lena

      December 16, 2011 at 6:16 pm

Bahaha indeed! Love it! And safety always comes first ;)

Lol! I’ve had packages like that with one tiny item in a giant box. What a waste but it’s good for a laugh!
