I’ve been spending the last week pushing around furniture in an effort to finalize #ProjectLivingRoom.
You may be wondering: “What does #ProjectLivingRoom have to do with Urban Barn?”
To which I say: smarten up and read my blog from time to time!
All joking aside (I wasn’t joking) I’ve been extremely fortunate to have a brand new living room courtesy of my friends at Urban Barn. It really, REALLY rocks. The only thing stopping me from taking pictures and plastering them all over this site is the fact that I’ve got a few last minutes touches to take care of, and A-type personalities like me generally like things to be perfect.
(Booo, I know. Patience, friends!)
So in the meantime, I think it’s only right I give a shout out to my favourite purveyor of contemporary furniture, stylish accents and drool-worthy accessories. And this little bit of press comes at the perfect time: it’s their Dine-In Event!
Until November 27th, you can save 15% off dining furniture and accessories. Curious to see what an Urban Barn dining room looks like?
I told you: drool-worthy. You can check out Urban Barn’s Dining Room merchandise here. I’ve actually had my eye on the Hudson Sideboard for quite some time; I can see it blending in seamlessly with my current decor. I’ll have to let my husband know it’s currently 15% off – he loves a good Urban Barn sale as much as I do!
There’s more – Urban Barn has teamed up with Top Chef Canada Winner Chef Dale MacKay, a Gordon Ramsay protégé (swoon!), to serve up a culinary opportunity of a lifetime. Beginning today and running through November 27th, Canadians can enter the “Win a Private Chef” contest for their chance to host the ultimate dinner party prepared personally by Chef MacKay exclusively in the comfort of their own home.
(Did I actually just share this information? Damn. I just decreased my chances of winning. Well, if YOU happen to win, I’m a wonderful dinner party guest. #pickme)
To enter this fabulous contest, head on over to Urban Barn’s Facebook page. Good luck!
Such prettiness! My favourite is the last dining room picture – it’s TOTALLY my style. I think I’m going to have to check the store out in person.
Can’t wait for your living room unveiling with the finishing touches – although I’m glad to have had a sneak preview :-)
I’m am SO in love with the last picture too. Love that it’s your style too :)
Thanks for the heads up on the sale, Lena!!
Funny you should post the pic {last} of the big cutlery on the wall. Last time we went to Urban Barn, the twins caught sight of these and asked if those were for ‘super big people’. lol
That last pic – love the place settings too. Such nice details!
Can’t wait to see the big reveal!!!

Adorable! And yes, getting performance anxiety over the “big reveal!’ xo
Ahhh, it’s be great – I know it!!
;)
I totally love Urban Barn. They’ve got great furniture and accessories. I just wish I could afford to shop right now! John is still of the “we don’t need nightstands right now” mentality. LeSigh. I’ve just had to buy Lack side tables from IKEA ($9.99 apiece), and I guess I’ll have to put up with them until my maternity leave is over. I can’t stand that my whole house is a mishmash of yuck, apart from Charlotte’s room!!!
No nightstands yet? Sigh, that sucks. I’ll let you know if I ever come across an awesome sale; maybe we can persuade John that it’s time!
Love it! Can’t wait to see #ProjectLivingRoom, and thanks for the heads up on the awesome contest.
Purple is my favourite colour and I just love the table setting on the last picture. The chandelier looks great in the first picture too. Can’t wait to see #ProjectLivingRoom.
<3 #ProjectLivingRoom. I've been in my condo for 6 months and still don't have side tables…..you're a wonder Lena. Good luck – can't wait to see the pics!
Hi Shawna! Thanks for the kudos!
I love all the dining rooms, especially pictures 2 & 3.
I love the rustic charm – it just looks like a place you would hang out at for a long time with friends, just eating and talking, maybe playing a game of Hearts after dinner. It just feels like “home”.
I’m all about rustic charm – sadly, my husband is more of a modern minimalist. I love your description o the eating, talking and playing a game of hearts :)
Hi Lena! It’s Cindy from UB. I can’t wait to see how your room turns out … hope you guys pop by the store again soon and say hi. Love your everything on your site so far.
Cindy
Hi Cindy!! So happy you stopped by! I’ll have my pics up soon… and we’ll definitely be popping by Urban Barn to say hello… it’s like my favourite place in the world, ha!
