Woo hoo! After living under what seemed like ENDLESS cloud for the past two weeks, last night Torontonians were treated to an epic thunderstorm. Seriously, the walls were shaking! BUT, looks like it was nature’s last hurrah for some time… ’cause The Weather Network is showing NOTHING BUT SUN for the next 7 days!
Hello, Summer! Nice of you to join us!
Um, I am a *tad* concerned about the humidex reading tomorrow – seriously, 41°C? For my American friends, that’s 106°F!
Regardless, it’s time to break out the shades and sunscreen! Woot!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the weather to stay warm, sunny and fabulous…I've lost hope in the weather people, channel, CP24, etc. and take everythign they say with a grain of salt. As far as I'm concerned, they should close up shop, because – let's be honest – they're guess is as good as mine, or yours or anybody else. Don't get me started…they can't accurately predict 12 hours, let alone 7 days! :-DI joke that the weather channel should just be the view outside their studios from a window! LOL!!But the weather 'seems' to be predicted as GORGEOUS!! So, let's hope that they're right this time! Maybe they can redeem themselves, in my eyes!!! LOL!Have a great day, and don't forget your water or sunscreen!
Aidan was thrilled to wear shorts to school today! Looking forward to after dinner walks with the boys this week :) Praying for clear skies in the weeks ahead, as we have a major exterior painting job coming up…fingers crossed!Enjoy the week Lena :)
@Josie.K. – your hilarious rant reminded me of a skit I saw years ago on In Living Color (I know, rolls eyes)… a granny was knitting and saying to a teenager – "When I was young, we had a 24 hour weather channel too. It was called the window!" Ha!@Shauna – Aidan in shorts! So cute! I will keep my fingers crossed for you ;)
The storm yesterday was intense! I heard this summer is supposed to be a dry summer though, which can be painful. I don't mind the showers, but a nice sunny weekend would be ideal! :)
Send some of that sun my way, PLEASE!!!:)
LOL!!! I remember In Living Color…isn't that where JLo got her start as a 'fly girl'! LOL!! :-D and Jim Carrey was the hilarious Fire Marshall Bill! Good times! ;-D Thanks for the 'blast from the past' moment Lena!! :-D
@Justine – I know! The clouds always roll in for the weekend :(@Tammi – okay, sending major sunrays your way! xo@Josie.K. – yup!!! The one and only. Though my favourite character was Anton Jackson, the bum who carried the pickle jar! Damon Wayans rocks!
I've only been to Toronto once and it was 105 the day we went to the zoo! Horribly hot!
Ugh, I'm so jealous of your weather. Today's weather in Vancouver was AWFUL. Rain, rain and … wait for it … more rain! At this rate, I will be returning my summer wardrobe back to the stores because I'm still wearing sweaters!!!
