RIO: The Movie… Win a RIO Prize Pack!

Now before you get ultra excited, I’m not giving away a vacation to Rio de Janeiro… but it’s the next best thing, I promise!

From the makers of the hit ICE AGE series comes RIO, a comedy adventure about taking a walk on the wild side. Blu is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he’s the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart.

Not long after they arrive, Blu and Jewel are kidnapped by a group of bungling animal smugglers. With the help of street smart Jewel, and a group of wise-cracking and smooth-talking city birds, Blu escapes. Now, with his new friends by his side, Blu will have to find the courage to learn to fly, thwart the kidnappers who are hot on their trail, and return to Linda, the best friend a bird ever had.

It’ll no doubt be an awesome family movie – I love movies that are shot “on location”! Starring Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg as Jewel and Blu, in addition to an all-star lineup – Jemaine Clement, Leslie Mann, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, will.i.am, Rodrigo Santoro, and Jamie Foxx… it promises to be full of adventure, laughs and of course, love and friendship! And with summer around the corner, I’m more than happy to get into a tropical mood :)

RIO will be at a theatre near you on April 15th. Round up the kiddies and enjoy a family movie night!

  155. i watched the trailer and i found the colors really amazing , the part with the parrots flying was really incredible, i would enjoy this as much as the kids, going to a chineplex is an outing for us as it is an hour away so every so often we go and it is something special for us allstaceyx at telus dot net

I realy love your blog and I watched the trailer,I have five kids and would really like to take them to this movie.We rarely go out because I have five kids under ten and three are special needs and one is deaf.To wn this would be rewarding and a it we could spend time all togther enjoying "RIO".My favorite thing in the movie was how Blu's friend try to encourage him to fly and believe in himself.I alos like hw the movie is full of laughs,love ndfriendshis as well.
