Get ready to blow your biggest, most chew-riffic bubble! In honor of the re-launch of the iconic Bazooka Bubble Gum in Canada, Bazooka Candy Brands will be hosting the First Annual Bazooka Bubble Gum Blow-Off at the Eaton Centre at 220 Yonge St. in Toronto, ON. The competition will begin at 1pm on October 9th. Contestants ages 5 to 100, of all skill levels, are invited to come and try to blow the biggest bubble ever. There will be giveaways, music, and much more. Prizes will be awarded to the top bubble blowers.
Who doesn’t remember Bazooka Bubble Gum? I can just feel the thin, papery shell that housed the hard pink rectangle. As a child, would be all thumbs as I attempted to peel apart the packaging; literally salivating with anticipation at sinking my teeth into the sweet, bubblegum treat. I’m so excited that Bazooka Bubble Gum will be part of Ryder’s childhood as well!
Sadly, I can’t blow a decent bubble to save my life, so while I won’t be participating in the Blow-Off, I will be attending to see others give it their best shot! I hope to see you there!
To celebrate the re-launch, Bazooka is offering a super-fun giveaway for Listen to Lena! readers: A chance to win your own personal supply of Bazooka Bubble Gum and a classic Bazooka Bubble Gum T-shirt (kid sized or adult).

Remember having bubble blowing contests with my younger sister after our weekly bike riding excursion to the local convenience store to stock up on candy and bazoka bubble gum. Gee, a dollar really went along way back than and I remember getting 10 plus blocks of gum plus candy for a buck-think the gum was .05 cents thirty years ago.

Lena, who doesn't love the Bazooka Joe comics, that dude outwitted Pud from the Double Bubbles. Whenever I see a dude in a red turtleneck, I call him a MORT. Haha.

I remember the rare piece I got as a kid….my mother was not fond of gum so that was a big treat…
I remember Bazooka!! Soft and chewy. I think as kids all of us had a piece or two in our pockets. It was a challenge to stuff a couple of pieces in our mouths, and chew away and competed against each other. Goal: to blow the biggest bubble. For me, mine always popped and I made the biggest mess.mommakoala(at)cogeco(dot)ca

There was always bazooka gum at the canteen of ball tournaments when I was a kid; Great price I would always buy a pocketful.
I always loved bazooka gum. I'd carry pockets full of it and give it to friends in elementary school at recess. We'd all pass around the mini comics afterwards! I'm happy to see it's coming back to stores :)
I love bazooka, when i was a kid. I try to fill my mouth full of bazooka as much as i can. It was a lot of fun trying to break my record.
My Husband and I were just talking about this gum yesterday! It was definitely a big part of our childhood memories…we would both put the gum in our mouths but had to read the comic before we would actually start chewing! Ha! I can also remember trying to stuff my mouth with as many pieces as I possibly could so I could blow the biggest bubble! I think it'll be fun to see my kids have their fun with it too!:)
Bazooka Bubble Gum has always been my favorite! I remember when I was like …7 my mom bought me a bunch of them and she caught me in the middle of the night with an exploding mouth full of gum. must have been 20 pieces or so.

I remember getting Bazooka bubble gum in my treat bag from a friends birthday party, and trying to blow a bubble. That didn't go over too well, and even today I still cannot blow the greatest bubbles, lolamy_the_scottish_lassie@live.ca

walking to the corner store as a kid with best friends, coins in our pockets and picking up some penny candy and mouthfuls of bazooka bubble gum…mmm, the sweetness!
Wow… I remember saving every nickel, quarter and dime and buying these for $0.05 each. Me and my brothers would then play card games and use them as "bets" lol.teri.tarrant@gmail.com
Wow, this brings back memories!! I haven't had a piece of Bazooka bubble gum in a loonnnggg time, although I can't think of why, lol. I guess it's because I haven't had to save up nickels (no tax back then!) and beg my mom to take me to the corner store for a while either.I loved competing with my sister over who could chew the most pieces and then blow the biggest bubbles!jay.built(at)hotmail(dot)com

I remember looking at the wrappers as a kid.. trying to follow the cartoon.mmayerfeld at gmail
I always loved Bazooka gum as a kid, including the cartoon, but one thing I was wondered was why it had to be coated in the white, flour-like substance…
I also loved to collect the wrappers and remember chewing SO much gum with my 8 brothers and sisters JUST so I could get a little camera! I also remember a contest at a town festival when I was about 30 and they had a bubble blowing contest that the band did. I actually WON and got to go up on stage! they gave me a band T shirt and I thought I was queen for a day…one of VERY few nights I got out of the house with so many kids to care for! Still love to chew and we blow lots of bubbles at home with the tweener and 2 teens we still have at home of our 6 kids! I also have 3 grandkids who think it is cool that grandma loves to chew bubble gum and blow HUGE bubbles it sometimes gets in my hair…and makes them laugh!thanks much!ejrichter60 at gmail dot com

Bazooka always reminds me of halloween treats!
Bazooka was a luxury when we were kids and something we would definitely look forward too as my parents didn't have allot and it was rare to have change given to us so that we could buy some gum and candies at the store we lived in the back woods of NB, Camada and sometimes all we had to chew was spruce gum from spruce trees which tasted bad but if you chewed it for a long time it would turn purple and resemble real store bought gum which was fun and interesting. But when we did get to have some real store bought gum Bazooka was our favourite and we enjoyed it no end chewing and blowing bubbles these are memories from my past
Walking to the corner stone with JUST my brother (he was older and could take care of me….hahaha we were still pretty young) and splitting $1 to buy Bazooka gum.
I used to love getting this at Halloween! It was always fun to get treats that were a little different then the standard mini chocolate bars, then I would trade with my friends for other items that we liked.katiejaneallen at gmail dot com

Bazooka gum is something that was a big part of our treats when we were kids and I now treat my kids with bazooka. I enjoy bazooka gum still as well it has a very wonderful taste and you can play with it by blowing bubbles it is neat to be able too play with your treats
I still love bubble gum! The unique flavour of Bazooka (not too sweet) sticks in my mind. I remember receiving a BUCKET of Bazooka gum as a child, and chewing it all in about a week.
